You might, although I never really became super active until... early 2009. I don't have any idea what happened then, but my activity pretty much exploded.

I've been on IRC channels since... pretty much 2003.

I remember when AOL parental controls would filter anything but the AOL browser itself from accessing the internet. Fortunately, this lasted for all of about two weeks to a month... but considering I was only 12 at the time and Brand Spankin' New to the internet it didn't bother me nearly as much as port blockings and such do today.

(It was still irritating, though! I couldn't even download some MIDIs or ZC screenshots due to dumb shit)

Yeah, I got introduced to IRC channels around 6 or 7 months ago. Pretty new to it by most standards. I primarily only stayed in one channel, though, never explored any other. I used to think this; 'What the hell is this computer-like advanced chat thingie?' Now I just think it's very awesome and I practically idle and talk in it 24 hours unless my internet goes crazy on me.
