The laptops they have:

-Apple MacBook Pro 13.3" 2.7ghz ($1,299.00)
-Dell XPS 15 i7 2.9GHz ($1,329.00) (MacBook copy)
-Inspiron 14R i3 2.10GHz 4GB ($429.00)

The XPS 15 was the first thing I looked up reviews for after I visited the physical store.

The main thing stopping me from getting a Lenovo Thinkpad W-series is that all of the reviews say they have bad, muffled sound. Considering I'm typically against using headphones most of the time, this would be an issue. Plus, the only gripes I've seen about the HP Elitebook, besides being too pricey, is that the graphics card isn't the best, but that can be upgraded.

Paulguy's Post configuration
I wouldn't judge a laptop's sound too harshly. It'll never be particularly fantastic. The best ones will probably sound like a cheap boom box.

A Creative Laptop soundcard can boost up your sound a ton. I have an old 2005 laptop and the Creative Audigy 2 NX really makes those small speakers pop, even though the speakers are so small and pathetic.
