2007 feels like quite a while back, though, for me. Huh. (I miss it, though)

I've been around for eight years, apparently, and that feels like it's gone by fast.

(2007 feels like a while ago, but 2003 doesn't. I don't get it either.)

I guess it is all mental relativity at work. You have memories, then you weight them based on how distant they feel to you. Then if a year that is earlier is more familiar than one that happened recently, you feel that earlier year is far less distant than it actually is.

Hence to me, the years of 2005 and 2004 are rather recent while 2009 and 2010 feel like forgotten years of the past. I can remember 1995 better than some years, which is ridiculous.

Various days feel closer or farther from the present, even. For example, early 2009 feels like ages ago, and that summer feels pretty recent.

Yeah, I hear ya on that Bloodstar. My two years at NESCom (2004-2006) seem far closer to me than my years at UMaine (2006-2010), even though I was a lot younger. It's like I feel I went through a time skip. o.O

I also thought, for some reason, Rahan joined in '07. I never really paid much attention to when he joined, I just kinda know he was here before me.

Blast it, time is weird when we get older.

We've moved around so much that sometimes I remember something happening while we were one place and then realize later that it was in another state... But other times I can remember events and days from 5 years ago as if they were yesterday. The mind is a strange thing.

I've only ever moved once, and it really wasn't very far.

I don't really like the township I ended up in, but... eh, could be worse. Better that than having to go to a pretty terrible school district, after all... (Not so much a worry anymore, though.)
