Do you have any spare time? Cause I need some help.
I need a pretty decent programmers help. preferably with N64 opcode knowledge.
I have a patch that I need rewritten for the sequel that runs on a modified engine.
It's a patch for The Legend Zelda: Ocarina of Time
and i need it rewritten for Majora's Mask. You need to know C programming please.
I will be so-so-so grateful if you can help me. Please reply if interested
and admins, sorry if this isnt supposed to go here.

I suggest you provide more info on this "patch", what it does, and why you need it, because as it stands this sounds a lot like a "plz hax ROM 4 me" post.

Ok. The patch goes into Link's actor file, and replaces the code that makes navi appear in each room spawn 3 other Links that can be individually controlled. And I have fairly decent knowledge of hexadecimal, I just don't understand any "major" stuff like C or C+. I know this sounds kinda greedy but it's not so much as a 'I can't do it. Do it for me.' type post, as it is can someone help me understand this. Like, I don't really understand programming, but I really want to know so I can write (game modifying) rom hacks.
I'm going to attempt to learn this, but would just need someone to help me understand.
Do you happen to know any good guides sites that have n64 mips opcodes? and a good C compiler?

So you essentially want to recreate cendamos' multiplayer Link thing in Majora's Mask?

Honestly, don't bother. You're only setting yourself up for disappointment.

You really need to start with something much simpler than the N64 if all you have is a "fairly decent knowledge of hexadecimal". So you can count to 15 with letters, big deal! The N64 and its games are very complex things, and it takes far more than just a knowledge of base 16 numbers and C to work with them. You need a fairly intimate knowledge of the inner workings of both the system and the game itself.

I suggest you try poking around an older system first, like the NES or SNES, and build some hacking skills there before you try to tackle the big boys.

this one was actually released and I have the source code for it.
I Pmed spinout on the zelda hacking forums and he said to find what it replaces and find that in Majora's Mask.
I would of course, use Nemu64's debugging tools once I get the knowledge on how to do this.
