Yeah, Zelda strikes me as kind of...psychotic. Who does that!?

I do like the Goron dude though.

Horizontal slash and it should spin. Thrust into the purple spot on it's stomach twice. It gets easier later on. And for god's sake, take a step back or it WILL kill you. I know they Game Over'd me twice.

I never got them to spin, I just got them swaying left and right. You sure it's a horizontal slash?

Yeah, that's what I use all the time. Try a diagonal? Or a thrust, then horizontal?

I dunno. Maybe I'm hitting a sweet spot every time?

I may have been doing it wrong, it was pretty late. I'll try again when I've had some more rest. And the training logs showed me that it can be pretty damn picky.

I was starting to think I'd have to shield bash them or something.

Swordplay works well, but the MotionPlus aiming for slingshot/beetle/etc. is problematic. I don't see why they couldn't have used the IR pointer! Didn't they have that working at E3?

From where I'm sitting while playing, I prefer the M+ aiming, considering my sensor bar is way too finicky to use properly.

As for big skulltulas, it may be a diagonal swing, because that's what I end up doing more often then not (terrible when I'm fighting a deku baba. ) I had more trouble with the few skulltulas you fight on the ground, not realizing how to flip them over.

My biggest gripe with MotionPlus aiming is that it takes a lot of movement to cover my whole screen (32" widescreen HDTV). The cursor feels like it's rubberbanded to the center of the screen or something.

Constantly having to center the cursor is kind of annoying, too. I think they should have used the MotionPlus and sensor bar in tandem to automatically calibrate it (or at least made it an option).

Aside from that...wow. The motion controls are fantastic. Flying is virtually effortless, and I actually feel like I'm wielding a sword during battle. Nintendo really should have included this technology from the get-go, even if it would have raised the price somewhat.

Really? I've got a 42" and the aiming is fine with me.

The problem that I have with aiming is that you can't Z-Target and use something like the Arrows or Slingshot. I really miss that...

Well, naturally, if you have a much bigger screen, cursor movement is going to seem much faster.
