Mine does radio but it's fairly crummy.

I hold on to an old Audiovox boombox relic for radio. CD player is busted but the tape deck isn't. It's one of two things that are all I have left of what my grandmother gave me ages ago.

My alarm clock is from the early '90s; I vaguely remember us buying it when we lived in New Jersey. It has a radio too but it's not very good and loses its signal a lot.

No fancy auto-DST, so I have to hit the "hour" button 23 times. Seriously, why is it so hard for manufacturers to allow you to change the time backward and not just forward?

Our car's clock is like that, as well. At least this ones just a 12-hour clock, though, so it's not too bad.

I'm seriously loving this time change. I woke up at 6 this morning and the sun was just rising. Now that's what I'm talking about, daddy-o.

Mine uses 12-hour format, but there's AM and PM. And if I have to use the alarm (which is sometimes the case), that makes a big difference.

I woke up around 7:30 this morning.

wow you have some really bad car clocks.

mine is analog so I can spin it right round in any direction. I can imagine how painful it must be with a digital one if you can only go forward.

Analog car clocks? That's something I don't see very often. (Except once when we rented a Chrysler Sebring and it had an analog clock, but that seemed to just be for show as there was also a digital one)

I've never seen an analogue car clock. Usually they're digital and on the same display that's used for the radio.

Then again, my parents have only bought Fords since the '90s, so maybe it's a "non-Ford" thing.

well here's a pic of my car's cockpit then (well not mine, but it's grabbed from the Internet and looks exactly the same)

They might not be common but they certainly do exist.

Took me a while to identify that clock as such.

Also, maybe I'm just ignorant about driving, but why are tachometers so freakin' huge? It seems that the RPM of the engine isn't really the most important thing when you're driving unless something's wrong with the car, and in that case you might as well have it the same size as the temperature gauge then.

I'm not sure, but I think the tachometer is more important when you're driving a manual versus an automatic...

I refer to the tachometer for purposes of maintaining more efficient gasoline usage. A lower RPM at the same speed as you might be at a higher RPM = less gas consumed. Slow acceleration is also a plus.

Also, daylight savings is an outdated practice that no longer serves any reasonable purpose.

I... didn't know analog clocks existed in cars at all. I'd prefer a digital in that case - it's easier to read, which would be a big benefit while driving.

I just recently noticed that my college added some big digital clocks to the walls in the hallways - well, I saw one of said clocks before, but pretty much just one. I wonder if that one was still on 24-hour time...

Beyond the jetlag effect for about a week or so I'm actually quite fond of Daylight savings.

But then I'm far enough south that the length of day changes dramatically between the seasons and it is actually worthwhile for the extra daylight time.

Summer Solstice has days starting at about 6:45 am and ending at about 9pm, while the Winter Solstice has days starting at about 8 am and ending at 4:45 pm.

Also Analogue clocks are amazing and more people should have them.

The old 300D Mercedes my family has has an analog clock in it. Of course, it is from 1981.

Maybe it's more associated with German cars, then?

Perhaps, or just (initially) expensive ones.

Like, the Diablo SV had an optional analog Brequet clock option in it, and it was from 1999.
