"A horrible person". That's what it says. "A horrible person."

We weren't even testing for that.

...end in Europe one week earlier than in the US. Oh, the joy! I got all confused over that, and it will stay that way for one week until you catch up with us.

It also means I have to reset a bunch of clocks, namely:

*the alarm clock
*the microwave's clock
*the satellite receiver's clock
*the DVD player's clock
*the car's clock (oh, and one wrong button and the trip meter is reset... *very* bad idea)

sigh, all the running around for nothing is annoying me

Australia went forward about uh, three weeks ago?

Yeah. Just to be even more confusing.

And in the case of Australia, since it's in the Southern Hemisphere the time changes the opposite way. You lose an hour around when we gain one.

I'll just have my alarm clock and watches to change, as my computers should change on their own.

Parts of the US don't even observe DST. For me, it's in the future though.

I only have one or two clocks left which don't just do it automatically, anyway...

It'll be getting dark really early soon.

Fucking love it. I don't get why it irritates some people! I get the irritation over the time change, and that does throw me off too, but hell if I'm going to argue with night hitting earlier.

DST?

Move to Saskatchewan, that crap doesn't exist here! (unless you're close to the Manitoba border or live in Lloydminister)

Saw the notice on my computer about DST last night. I don't mind the early night, but the early morning when I stay up too late....

Going from Daylight Savings to Daylight Squandering, apparently...

I don't know, to me it usually seems like hassle for relatively little benefit- of course, I don't have a job that requires me to spend much time outside , so that may be part of the reason.

I'll take that extra hour of sleep, thank you very much.

Gonna be pretty depressing looking outside at 5 PM though.

I often use the extra hour to fix my sleeping schedule if I've been waking up too late. Which has been the case for me recently.

A-fucking-men, Blood. I'm particularly pretty fond of the earlier sunsets but I also love the fact that the sun will actually be up at 6 or so! As a personally-professed "professional" early-riser/bird, the late sunrise is potentially perturbing, perhaps even pernicious. Your bioclock says "wake up", but it's still dark out—super-not-cool, dude. Daylight s-a-v-i-n-g time is way overdue.

IIRC, Russia stopped doing DLS (or rather, stopped changing back from it) this year and will remain on summer time.

Fun fact: Russia did the same in Soviet times already, so now they're two hours in advance. Amazing, isn't it?

I don't savor the prospect of having to put lights on my bike more often.

It's going to be pretty hard waking up in the dark, and then getting home when it's dark. I probably won't even see the sun most days...

Ugh, I hate daylight savings. I'm a night person by nature, but a morning person by heart. Yes, that sounds corny, but it's the truth. I hate it getting dark outside at 5pm. I'm starting to get up at 10am, but that still only leaves me with a few hours of daylight. I don't like it, it's depressing

Tried to explain this to the new people at work and they were lost.

Reason? Most of them come from countries that don't observe DST! (Malaysia, Cameroon, etc.)
