| We had: chicken (most of us don't like turkey), mashed 'taters, mashed sweet potatoes with.. I think carrots mixed in (kind of strange, but not bad), broccoli with buttered crumbs (o.O), corn, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry jelly stuff (which I didn't eat). And for desert? Pumpkin cheesecake with caramel sauce. ^^! It's soooo so good. *nod* Somehow it's so much better than pumpkin pie. *shrug!*
We have a lot of leftovers, so I'll be happy. lol. My boyfriend doesn't really like eating leftovers though, or at least, not on the same day. It's weird. heh I'm Canadian, but I live in the States, so it's strange, sometimes. I forgot to call my parents on 'their' Thanksgiving, and talked to them before this one, and they were kind of surprised. heh. The food was really good, but I always feel kind of strange because my boyfriend's mom is kind of.. ah... grumpy when she cooks. She doesn't want help (even from her mom. o.O), but when she finally does have something she wants us to do (mostly go-for type things), she wants us to hop right up and do it exactly the way she wants it and whatnot. And then she complains because she has to 'do it all herself' despite us offering to help out. >> Aaand she makes a huge mess while she's doing it, and then refuses to help clean up because she's too tired out from cooking. *sigh* I think for Christmas, I may just offer to try cooking stuff myself, just so it's less.. stressful. I dunno. :< That might not go over well either. xD This Thanksgiving was made amusing by our two newly acquired puppies, at least. They're hilarious, rambunctious, and cute. :p ____________________ o.O |

| I worked and had a salami and turkey sandwich for supper.
Erm, let me explain... yes, I am Canadian. Yes, we already had our Thanksgiving in October. But where I work, most departments were closed because Capital One more or less shuts down on Thanksgiving. It's apparently against the law to try to collect on a holiday, for instance.
However, fraud was definitely open, and it was a VERY easy day. Basically people could call in but we couldn't call people. And not many people NEED to call on Thanksgiving, unless they just got declined at the pump, at a restaurant, or at Kmart (they were open today?!?). And we're open on Christmas too, but since it's actually a HOLIDAY here, it's purely optional. We have enough people who don't celebrate the holiday to staff the phones.
Tomorrow though... yeah... that's going to be fscking nuts. |

Turkey (14 pounds, so that means...LEFTOVERS! ), gravy, biscuits (3 leftover), and stuffing (Which I didn't have), and pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Though, dammit, I should've remembered to ask for mashed potatos. Whatev. There's always Christmas. ![]() ____________________ Trigger: The adult in me thinks about how I might be a valueable partner in missions. BLARGG. Oog I ate a lot yesterday. Turkey, two helpings of rice stuffing, cornbread with corn and cheese in it, faux potatoes (didn't really eat them ), stringbean casserole with fried onions on top, pumpkin pie, apple pie, pecan pie, chocolate cheesecake, banana muffin, some gelatin dessert and I'm probably missing one or two items...
Help me. I've fallen and I can't get up. ____________________ ![]() |

| It's rather late, but happy Thanksgiving/Nov. 22/etc.
Food consumed: Baked chicken, stuffing, green-bean casserole ( 33), lasagna, rice and beans... Rating: 9.9/10 (the rice sucked)
And then came the leftovers... Let's just put it this way.
