When I came back to my room this afternoon there were a bunch of fire trucks and stuff outside my dorm... thankfully it seems to have just been because someone pulled a false alarm in the building across the street, but I was worried for a second there.

I used to run into that myself. Have you ever thought of using Synergy? I use a MBP and a Win7 tower at the same time. It works well.

I would recommend using it over an ssh tunnel for security.

Blargh, I'm all antsy and feel like I want to do something, but I don't know what to do.

I've looked into that program before for when I use my Macbook Air and my Windows laptop next to each other- in that particular situation though the other computer is a lab machine, so I don't know if I'd be allowed to install outside software. (Though somehow iTunes got on there, what the hell)

I think as long as you have admin privileges, and your network doesn't have polices that block it you may be able to actually use it. Supposedly it's only suppose to work over the same subnet, however at work it has connected without being in the same subnet. (I RDP'd into the synergy server machine with a client and it make computing more of a challenge! )

It would have been awkward as hell if I did kiss the guy.

That's when you apologize and blame it on excessive consumption of caffeine.

...Then you say "I have to... go now." and run off.

There's more than one way that last sentence can be interpreted.

I kissed a guy before. No tongue. But just for comedy sake. I did it in High school with my improv club in public. And it wasn't nothing serious of course.

It was hilarious though.

I'm thinking about what's going to happen for Thanksgiving this year. I'm probably going to be having a nice little private few-people Thanksgiving dinner at my apartment and the size means I can afford some fanciness. I'm thinking I want to go traditional this year and make venison steaks. I could marinate it in soy sauce and make an Asian-New World fusion deer meat Tg dinner.

I'll have a small turkey for the apartment people and mashed potatoes, of course, and some gravy. And I can totally make inverted maki rolls out of cooked turkey and deer meat drizzled with gravy. It'd be super-fusion.

...since when was venison and deer considered traditional?!?

I must be out of the loop.

...but I'd still come over, Sofi, because you'd have turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy. So I'd be quite satisfied and satiated.
