I have noticed that our wiki page to that prototype doesn't has got any screenshots, but X-Cult has screenshots. I hope, it helps...

About adding them myself, just look how I tried to do a Wiki page of MM2PF. It just looks awful. And the worst thing: I can't even do it better!

You could try looking at another simple but "good-looking" Wiki page, then replicate that with yours. As a somewhat random grab from the Recent Changes, take Knuckles' Chaotix for instance - not too long or convoluted, but you've got tables, aligned images, internal and external links. Read that, get a feel for the syntax, and try it out. "Practice makes perfect", isn't it?

That'd be the reason why you got scolded, as opposed to just "sorry, we're busy." Your approach was completely and totally wrong. Saying "hey, guys! there's pictures here, but we don't have any" does not at all sound like "There's lots of differences in this prototype that should be documented. I'm not very good at making wiki pages, but I'd be glad to take screenshots and upload them into a rough article outline, if someone would fix it up for me later."

See how radically different those two concepts are? One of them is a passive way of just pointing and saying "look guys, content." The other one is actively seeking to put content on the wiki itself. If the article looks like crap, that's -fine-, it can be fixed. I'd rather have an ugly article full of information than no article and no information at all.

As I said before, many of the X-CulT images are JPEGs, and thus unusable on TCRF. TrebleTrouble, if you want to do something useful, you can retake those shots in PNG and upload them (following all the proper guidelines, of course).

Just converting a JPEG into a PNG doesn't restore the information that was lost due to compression, though.

No. Converting JPEG to PNG with an online tool does not magically make it "look better." It's just like converting a 64kbps MP3 into WAV: it's in a lossless format now, yes, but the fidelity that was lost during the initial conversion to MP3 is still missing.

Trust the people who actually know what they're talking about, okay?
