Not to mention the Locus will also be getting nerfed because apparently the endgame item that allows you to duplicate items for whatever use you might want is also an exploit. Nevermind that it takes 1000+ diamonds to make.

As for the Buildcraft RNG, I've heard but never tested that if you put multiples of things in a slot and another copy of that item in a different slot it will cycle items. Like, put 3 glowstone dust in 3 red slots and 1 dust in 1 blue slot, and it'll cycle 3 to red, 1 to blue. Or at least, it'll divvy up 75% goes to red, 25% goes to blue. I cannot confirm this, it's just something I've heard works.

Found another loop. 2 Glass -> 3 Sand, cook the sand, send one glass off. 8 glass -> 1 Ice, 8 Ice -> 1 Lapis, 8 Lapis -> 1 Lapis ore, 4 Lapis ore -> 1 Diamond

Doesn't even need a macerator to pull off the "exploit", just needs fuel.. or if you have industrialcraft, energy for an electric furnace.

keep it hushed to the EE maker though, or else it'll get removed!

EDIT: The diamond pipe thing doesn't work, at least in the 1.7.3 version of buildcraft (What I've got here on my laptop) I don't have enough diamonds to test in 1.8

Are any of these SMP-compatible? It'd be fun to play again.

I miss our Buildcraft/Industrialcraft (is that what gave us the conveyor belts and planters?) shenanigans.

So... I've finally started to play it for real.

Turns out, I fucking suck at it.

I have trouble finding coal for torches and I absolutely suck at defending myself at night.

All my stuff breaks after like half a day it feels, so I never get anything really accomplished.

To stem frustrations I've gone into creative mode and am having much more fun.

This is the first thing I've done so far. Inside, to the left where the indentiion is is the entrance. It's designed so that it looks something like a normal house made of stone would.

It splits into two hallways. The diamond hallway is going to be built going upwards, and will have many skyviews for viewing pleasure.

The gold hallway is going to be built downards, and has an underground lake currently. The entirety of these hallways are windowed and have glass floors so you can see the water below. I eventually plan to build a third hallway in the middle of the diamond hallway that goes down and through the water so when you look out the windows you are underwater.

Anyway, just the start for a novice minecraft player >.>

All of these mods are going MP compatible. I'm actually hanging out in the channel where the Technic MP modpack is being developed and helping them test out the MP builds every once in a while. It's on the way, but it's hard getting them together since they're all constantly being updated. Plus MP makes everything tougher to make work together.

RedPower 2 PR 3 came out.

Xk: What we used was "MineFactory Advanced" for the belts, growers, etc.

Actually, from what I can tell RP2pr3 is fairly decent and works with IC2/SMP and BC 2.2, so it might be worth putting together the various mods again.

E: That said, with IC2 working, we won't need tree farms in order to get infinite fuel, because we'll have the IC2 electrical system (and I'll be able to game it quite nicely

You'll want to grab the Mobile Pump addon for IC2. Makes fueling Geothermal reactors MUCH easier and less of a pain.

Just to let you all know, Technic MP is fast approaching a full release. With Redpower pr3 out, that was pretty much the last thing we were waiting on aside from EE. We're testing it now and may soon have a release with both the client and server files needed.
