So it's out today, though I've heard PSN had a headstart by a few hours over XBLA. It ain't exactly the Blitz I've been looking for gameplay-wise, but it's pretty close.
First Impressions of EA's Blitz

Pros
-----
* Faithful to Midway's arcade versions of Blitz. Not a perfect replica, but close.
* Lots of unlockables
* Cheats can still be provided pre-game
* Great sound and fluid framerate
Cons
-----
* Can't do late hits (*sob*)
* Slower gameplay (because you can't snap immediately after selecting a play)
* 2 GB download might cause issues to lesser connections
* I haven't tested this online, though I heard about some weird lag in the PSN version
I'm going to try Elite League some time later for some impressions on this, but I'm going to give this a 4 out of 5 so far.
