How do you start your day?

It seems like a lot of people here skip breakfast, for one. (Personally I try to at least grab something small, but I end up skipping it myself fairly often.) Do you find your day goes better if you don't skip it?


Do you take a shower right after waking up? Or do you wait until the night time?

Personally, I usually shower in the mornings. I spend any free time until I have to leave reading up on the Las Vegas Sun, and after that I usually head off (and rush to get to work on time, now )

I have actually been really good about getting a bite to eat when I wake up. Also tend to take a shower in the morning too. I find it kind of funny to basically shower and then sleep in one's bed, in which sweat and skin cells and yeaauck tends to be, unless the bed is freshly cleaned that is. But even then I shower in the morning.

Morning showers tend to help me feel better for the rest of the day, too.

With my schedule, that I broke for a while, I usually have a couple hours to goof off. I spend them lurking around here, playing with my website, chatting or playing a game.

I sleep through the morning 95% of the time.

When I do wake up, though... I get something small to eat before doing whatever it is I need to do, reading up on things while I eat.

No more morning college classes, at least this semester.

Weekdays: slowly get up, check IRC/jul/whatever for a little while, breakfast, then off to work (less than a hour after getting up )
Week-ends: similar, but minus work, late in the afternoon, and taking my time

While at college, I skip breakfast habitually- I haven't had it regularly since early sophomore year. (when I was on some medicine that had to be taken three times a deal with a meal) Given that I usually eat dinner really early (around 5, usually) you might think I'd be starving, but oddly that usually isn't the case. (While I was working at my internship in the summer, I ate breakfast every day and every day was starving around 10 AM- rather odd)

I shower immediately after waking up (it's pretty much what wakes me up...), but I also shower at night.

And then other than that, usual hygiene things (brush teeth, etc.), then I try to catch up with Google Reader and such, but I usually only have like ten minutes before I have to go... usually I give myself around 28 minutes from when I wake up.

I take my showers in the evening/night.

I sometimes skip breakfast, it depends on my mood and how big of a lunch I'm planning to have. I try to eat at least a little for breakfast on days I have work, though.

It takes me a while to get out of bed.

I don't really have a set routine anymore. About the only constant is getting up. I used to have a fairly rigid Get up - Shower - Check Jul/IRC/Whatever - Get dressed - catch bus routine.

Wake up -> don't eat because there's actually nothing wrong with not eating breakfast (contrarely to what the media wants you to think). Proceed being productive through the morning because I have not eaten (and being productive to not be hungry works for me).

Workout near 11AM and then eat.

I have to eat breakfast. Otherwise I want to murder people and can't concentrate by about 11am.

Normal routine is get up, get dressed, go for a run, have a shower, eat breakfast and drink coffee while checking emails/getting dressed and then go.

Alternate Routine:
Sleep through alarm. Go ohshi, have a shower, get dressed and run out eating toast and skoaling my coffee.

If I have to work, I wake up about an hour before I have to go, spend time eating breakfast and caffienating myself awake, brush my teeth, get dressed, and go.

If I don't have to work (right off), then I just do the above without the getting dressed part (read: stay in PJ bottoms and a T-Shirt).

Work days:
Wake up around 10 or 11am.
Get dressed and do hair before letting puppy out of the cage.
Let puppy out of cage.
Watch puppy either play with youngest cat.
Keep an eye on puppy and take him out when he needs to use the bathroom.
Try to eat breakfast uninterrupted.
Mess around on internet.
Get stuff ready for work.
Watch puppy.
Try to play a game before work.
Puppy takes nap.
Gaming.
Take puppy out at 1pm.
Play some Bejeweled Blitz before work b/c I don't have time to play any other game unless I can save whenever.
Go to work.

Days off:
Wake up around 10 or 11am.
Get dressed and do hair before letting puppy out of cage.
Watch puppy.
Internet.
Try to get some gaming in.

I take showers at night, usually after work, cause I smell.

I wake up around 5 to 8AM depending on when I went to bed the night before but I never wake up later than 8. Then I have a nice breakfast which usually features eggs. I never skip breakfast. It's the meal I'd be least willing to skip.

Then I just chill out for a bit until I have to head into town, usually around noon to 2PM depending on when I'm meeting people or where I'm eating lunch or how the weather is. I try not to shower until I'm getting ready to go out so I'll look my absolute freshest when I finally head out.

Work days, it's... get up, eat breakfast, go on PC for 15-20 minutes, bathroom, get dressed, out. About an hour or so max.

Days off... I tend to sleep in and might not grab breakfast right away... might only eat an hour after getting up. Depends.

I grab a shower, it always feels so very good to have hot water in the morning. This is especially true on cold winter mornings.
Depending on how fast my shower was, I'll cook breakfast or just grab something to eat on the way.
Then I go do the fun dental stuff, flossing is always such a slow thing that sometimes I skip it.
Then I wait for my ride to school. (Carpool, 7:4X-7:5X AM)

Weekends
Wake up ->
Computer ->
Go to bed

Depending on when university classes begin, I wake up about 45 minutes before that. I always turn computer on and head to make breakfast, eat it, check Jul, email and sorts before dressing up and driving off to university.

Weekends are heavily depending on what's in store for each.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I wake up at 7:30am and I usually just grab a granola bar and juice box and eat/drink them on the way to my first class. On Tuesdays and Thursdays my first class isn't until 2:30pm so I usually sleep until about 1:00 and then grab a decent bite to eat before going to class.

My weekends are usually similar to my Tuesdays and Thursdays, except that sometimes I don't wake up until after 3pm so I might just forget about lunch altogether and wait until dinner before I eat.
