I love late night snacks, no matter how bad they are for me. Nothing is better than a cold house, a blanket, and a nice bowl full of stir-fry.

(Of course, there are things to be said for food an hour after a workout.)

Recently I've been having small meals spaced throughout the day, the main ones being breakfast around 7AM, lunch at noon and dinner around five or six. In-between I have little snacking periods consisting of healthy snacks like nuts or fruit or sometimes yoghurt in small servings to keep the metabolism going and ward off cravings.

I enjoy food whenever, though, but there is seriously nothing better than being up before the sun when everything's still kinda chilly and making a nice Midwestern-style country breakfast, portion sizes included, potato, eggs and bacon and all. This is how I indulge on a comfort day.

But what's also nice is turning off all the lights at night and sitting in front of the TV with a blanket, my Apple iBook G4 resting on my coffee table, and a bowl of buttered and salted popcorn in my hands that I'm eating Zooey Deschanel-style. Whether it's some art film by a foreign director I've recently become interested in or some crappy reality TV show I'm watching for irony, I always enjoy moments like this. But for something as shamelessly gluttonous as this, maybe indulgent "ironic" entertainment is the way to go. It kinda harkens back to the good old days, the times in the winter when all that's playing is Christmas specials so you watch them to laugh at them, but the nostalgia doesn't matter—it's all about the lovely ambiance.

I don't really eat late because I worry that food is going to stop me from being able to sleep. (Then being hungry stops me from being able to sleep, whoops )

Usually I have two meals a day, one between 11 and 1 and the other around 5 (except when I'm busy and skip one), and then maybe a candy bar or something around 7.

When I have snack foods around, they usually go really fast... I have no self-control in that regard.

When I'm hungry.

Usually a bit after I wake up.

I'll munch om something at work.

Have dinner when I get home from work, which will be after 10:30pm.

I eat whenever I'm hungry, or when I feel like eating

I never saw the point in the "3 meals a day" thing. More meals that are smaller are actually healthier, IIRC.

When I'm bored.

Seriously, barring the usual 3 meals a day, if I eat snacks it's because I'm in a short lull of entertainment and need something to keep me by while I search for something else to waste time on.

Ergo, spending a whole week non-stop to watch anime means I don't eat as much, while having no homework and no new games right now means I'm eating quite a bit more than I should.

Having the equivalent of breakfast late at night is always welcome, though.

Let's see, I have a rough idea...

10:00 or 11:00 AM Breakfast
12:00 or 2:00 lunch
3:00 or 5:40 later lunch
8:00ish dinner
11:00 late dinner

I don't really eat huge meals, I just eat several small ones.

Breakfast's usually at about 7:30 to 8 am. Lunch is about 12:30 and dinner is at roughly 6:30 if I can help it. Afternoon tea at 3:30ish is usually appreciated too

Is "constantly" a valid option?

Is it that you use the 12-hour clock that makes the weekends lazy?

Come to think of it, I never wear my watch on the weekends, so that may be the case.

I eat whenever my stomach yells at me enough, or if someone makes/brings me food. Seeing as I have no real regular schedule, I have no idea when I eat.

Wake up at around 10am. Rarely, if ever, a snack at noon. Dinner at 6pm. Late snack at 11pm-2am (whenever).

I like having dinner at 6 PM, though with my dad's shift changing slightly, we've been having dinner as early as 4:30.

Goddammit you guys I'm not an old person so why am I eating stuff that early?

Request you!
At like 3:?? AM I get quite hungry and have to find something to eat.

Otherwise... just whenever. There's a bad habit I can't shake off despite how much I want in that my mother demands me to eat something RIGHT AT THE MOMENT I WAKE UP BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE EVER and I really don't want, and in fact the day tends to go better if I don't.
