I recently added another 256MB of RAM to my comp, and everything seems to be running fine. I'm just wondering, is there anything else I need to do other than just stick it in the computer? I don't want random errors to pop-up while I'm playing Cave Story.
Edit: Ok, my computer says it sees the extra memory, but it isn't accessing it. Is there something I'm missing?

No, the computer just isn't using it. I checked to see what the current memory usage was, and it said "235MB/510MB" instead of 768MB as the max.

Ω > UPossibly a motherboard maximum. I tried pushing 512 into a mobo that would only take 384 at a point though it's still not clear if it was the mobo's problem or the power supply (which will be determined in the coming months).
You can also try to reseat the RAM...you might not have the stick in there correctly.

Does the BIOS RAM test count up properly ?
It would be weird if the BIOS detects the new system RAM, but Windows cannot use the additional memory |

No. When I started my comp up today, everything was working fine. It was reading the memory and everything. I guess it just needed to be rebooted a couple times.
