Looking at that results list, it kind of bothers me how many duplicate users are on that list. Notably, Onyx/Bloodstar, Ninetales/Raspberry, and--c'mon, really?--CPUBasic/cpubasic13. I think there should be a rule in place to prevent this next time these are done to prevent peoples' votes from possibly getting split and thus miscounted (as was the case with devin/Super Salami Man at first--he ended up tying with himself).
I thought maybe a rule like "force people to vote for the user's current username, throw out any votes that belong to users that aren't in the memberlist" would work, but I realize that that'd disqualify any people that aren't registered on Jul currently (which would be bad for categories like "Most missed"), and it'd almost defeat the purpose of such a rule because it just throws away extra votes (as opposed putting them into a duplicate user). So I dunno. Xkeeper got a vote for "Best newbie". What. Also, apparently I got a vote for "Most likely to be the final boss"? How. And also both votes for "Most likely to ramble on about sardines for hours" and "Quietest". I guess when I do talk it's only about sardines. I think the former could be solved by promoting the event a bit more (and further in advance): change the board banner, hold mock "debates" for people to explain why they deserve votes, offer participants something neat (like an "I Voted!" badge), things like that. Like democratic elections, but without all the stupid depressing bullcrap.
