I'm reading this article which postulates that the anonymous writer of Hipster Runoff is in fact Tao Lin which is super-weird if it's true. If Tao Lin's actually the mastermind behind it, I have more respect for him than I did based on random assorted samplings of his work (Shoplifting from American Apparel, Richard Yates) because of his keen and incisive display of post-ironic blogging while also raising legitimate and oft-thought-provoking social commentary. The article asserts this in the context of the contiguity of irony and sincerity in our present-day culture and how today saying "nothing" is the new saying nothing.
