Rena I had one (1) message in Discord deleted and proceeded to make a huge, huge mess about how it was a violation of free speech and how moderators are supposed to be spam janitors and nobody should have the right to tell me not to talk about school shootings Level: 135 Posts: 1522/5390 EXP: 29075525 For next: 259480 Since: 07-22-07 Pronouns: he/him/whatever From: RSP Segment 6 Since last post: 342 days Last activity: 342 days |

JL2 - Post #1522 - 11-19-07 08:45:41pm So I decided to see if I could find some of my friends on Facebook, for reasons that would take too long to explain. K, go to Search, put their name in, and... nothing useful. 5 results, with a "lol sign up for the rest" message. Yeah, it's one of those sites. So, reluctantly, I throw together some stupid fake account so I can actually use the site. The first thing I notice after registering is this:
No, that's not a mistake. They want you to enter the password to your email account, apparently so they can find people on your contact list. WTF? No thanks. *skip* So I run my query again, and this time it gives me all 12 results, but still none of them are of any use. Here's a portion of the results page.
This is it. All the info they'll give you. A name, and if you're lucky a (usually bad) photo and a very general location. Your options: Send a message, "poke" them (which, as I understand, is basically another form of message), view their friends list, or add them to your friends list. Great! Way to be of no help whatsoever. Facebook, apparently, is social networking for paranoid schizos. You have to be in the same "network" as someone else to view their profile, you have to be signed up to basically do anything at all, etc. I ended up just sending a message to each of these people (excluding "Mikko" and others who aren't an exact match) asking if they're the person I'm looking for. (I highly doubt it. V_v) Oh, and one more little WTF: The "Poke this person" link. Sometimes it uses their name, other times it doesn't. ![]() ____________________ Why not to buy from: Sony, Philips | The file Microsoft shut down my web site for How this layout should look | BSFree - Codes without the bullshit DS Homebrew | Hilarity | WTF | More hilarity | Free office suite | 7zip | NirSoft |

)
also if you are in a network as someone (same school etc) you can see their profile without adding them, unless this is disabled. Honestly that was the idea
