I found a harpoon during a goblin invasion. I got the idea to use it in a fight against Eater of Worlds, since apparently it's the best weapon (pre 1.0.6) for dealing with him.

Well, developers, you need to fix that. I took him out without taking a single heart of damage. Either remove the rapid fire from the harpoon or allow the Eater of Worlds to keep his forward momentum when getting his face shot off. Keeping forward momentum would also put an end to the "Drop flail, sit on flail, own boss" technique as well.
