I'll be damned if I can beat the second boss without a shield.

Anyway, I like this game. It takes strategy. You can't just rush in and expect to have you Circuit charged in time to wipe out a wave of monsters (especially if you're insane and playing without a shield...).

Also Hiryuu, did you manage to beat Wervyn Anixil with the Agate Knife?

2/3 of his second form whittled down...the answer there is 'no'.

Went through 'Wuss Mode' just to say I beat it. Got it done within two days (eight hours or so). The monsters get a lot more fucking aggressive in 'Wuss Mode' I notice, however.

They get more aggressive on normal too, it's just that when you save/load, their aggressiveness returns to normal levels. I think it's a glitch. It's rather fun sweeping all three bosses in one shot and having hyper-aggressive monsters chase after you, especially after you take the seal. Most monsters move faster than you even with the Metabolism Booster, and they take a hell of a charge to destroy.

It's really a shame that the game doesn't save the increased aggression levels, especially when it DOES save the exact position of every single PSI crystal you leave lying around

Well, when the triangular laser shooters go fscking berserk and start shooting out heaps of bullets alongside of the fact that it takes nearly an entire charge to take one out...then it gets really interesting. I was literally going 'holy shit wtf?!' after I went in the path of 'get all 8 sub-items' and then 'place all three items/beat bosses'. Beating the six-hit monsters after that which landed a load of crystals afterwards was fun as well...just too bad that you can't go back into rooms you haven't explored if you do that.

Tried this game, got addicted.

I think I am near the first boss or something... (it's me, or the game also randomly generates the rooms and everything)

It's kinda fun, but pretty hard. At first is ok but then you have those invisible enemies that fire lasers everywhere or the ones with thousands of bullets that you have to use an almost full charge...

Edit: got the sword. But I can't find the boss or anything... =/

They are randomly generated. There was a post about it but it's been deleted because of the last board purge.

Just use the ^ icons. They'll pretty much tell you everything...but the trick is to get the dark leads first for all 8 side items so that beating the bosses is much easier.

I've got the wuss mode and best ending but not normal yet...I'm at the end of normal but it's really tough. Tougher than best in a way.

Just beated it. I seriously am underleveled... But I prefer it this way. As long as the bosses don't get harder the same way as normal enemies... (seriously, five spining laser things in the same room?)
