Good point. They should probably add cheese as a food too.

While were at it, why not add:
Flaming arrows (Arrows + Flint&Steel)
Chocolate milk (Milk + Coaco Beans)
Rapelling rope (String + Ladders?)
Apple Pie (Apples + Bread + Sugar?)
Shields?

I mean, I thought these things would have been put in by now (minus the apple pie and Chocolate milk).

I think that extra food recipies might be an addition made...probably either as a minor upgrade before the game is officially released, or released with the 1.0 version.

I still honestly want to see a snorkel happen, or at least something that can let you stay underwater longer. What good is exploring the ocean if you can't even dive down deep without having to come right back up for air?

played smp on an 8+ hour/day binge for a couple days this weekend, explored some of the new features (also, i guess endermen don't work in multiplayer...? maybe it was my connection)

and now i've "beaten" minecraft again. got all the resources i felt like getting, built what i wanted to build

I go underwater to get sand, clay, and ink sacs from squids, since they like to spawn in deep water.

Sure it ain't much, but it's still something.

The game seriously needs deep sea/underwater caves. You know that would be exciting.

One that hogs memory because it's a recorder, the other because it has crappy memory management.

Movement in water would have to be made to not suck so bad. But he seems to aim things at difficulty for the sake of annoying. Not that it's overly difficult, but anything that's intended to be a challenge just feels like a chore.

Well, I updated! Haven't found any new features yet, though. Of course, it would be easier to find them if I could actually change the draw distance fog setting.

Played this again last night for the first time in months. Some thoughts:

- The hunger bar is kind of a nuisance. I preferred having food items directly replenish health, especially when I'm getting mauled by a horde of monsters.
- Slimes are so very horribly broken. YOU CAN'T SEE ME BUT I CAN SEE YOOOUUUUU~
- NO. STUPID BRAIN. TERRARIA HOTKEYS DO NOT WORK IN MINECRAFT. STOP PRESSING ESCAPE TO OPEN THE INVENTORY.
- Yay, worthless EXP boogers!
- Yay, worthless Endermen boogers!
- The new ore distribution is kind of nice. Coal and iron EVERYWHERE.
- Weather effects!
- Giant mushrooms!
- Losing everything to a random zombie that teleported through a block still sucks just as bad as ever.

Overall, though, I had a pretty good time. Shock!

Spiders use that stupid wallhack too.

I'm loving the ravines / mineshafts. Spelunking is way more fun.. though I haven't (legitly ) found a stronghold yet.

It was changed to F3+F, for some reason.

Anyway, the exp is totally destroying my server whenever somebody dies:

Depending on the amount it can lag a client down to 2fps and kill the server for people in other places due to the huge amount of entity calculations.
I had to find a plugin for Bukkit to wipe it all every minute.

Doesn't the 1.8.1 server update fix that? If not, IIRC there's a vanilla mod that removes orb spawning.

It didn't--at least not for us. And I'm aware of the vanilla mod, but we're already relying on Bukkit for a bunch of cool stuff, so!
