Also, I was mistaken about the Kid Icarus video things. They're not just videos, they're basically full anime episodes, six in total, which will be available for viewing on your 3DS! In case you're not too familiar with the studios I mentioned, they've done work like Ghost in the Shell (Production I.G), Memories (Studio 4C), and Madoka Magica (Shaft). Weee!

The Ambassador Certificate is a downloadable video available to Ambassadors. You will need to download the video, just as you would any Ambassador game in the Nintendo eShop. (How To)

To receive updates regarding the Ambassador Program, such as when new titles are available to download, you will need to accept notifications for the Ambassador Certificate. (How To)

As soon as details for the 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console titles are available, we will send an update to those who have opted in using the Ambassador Certificate. Ambassadors will be able to download 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console titles for free before the end of the year.

I just wanted inform everyone that it seems you need to download that thing to be able to get the GBA games.

Maybe this is commonly know? I don't know; it's news to me at least.

I downloaded the certificate first in the
hopes that it had all ten NES games bundled in it

well I was wrong  


the program itself is just a video but

its true purpose is to give you ambassador related
updates in that one notification stream


but right now the only update from it is basically

"thanks for turning this on"

Actually, I think the Ambassador Certificate is just to receive notifications of when new titles become available. If you check the "How Do I Download Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Games?" section from that link, you'll see that they don't mention anything about requiring the certificate. It's just an optional news alert thing.

I'm sure they took power issues into consideration and decided that the minor hassle of "got to change the single battery" was better than shortening the already not-that-long battery life. You'll end up getting more use out of it this way.

My USB keyboard uses batteries. I've only had to change them once in the year or so I've used it.

I can't speak for everyone, but in my case, yes.

But I played with the charger plugged in a lot of the time anyway, so...

Considering bring that thing with you would be a dead pain, I doubt it really matters if it would sap from the 3DS battery when playing at home.

Rhythm games aren't what I usually play, but it looks interesting enough... though, the sound effects are way too loud in that Ultros battle at the beginning, it overruns the music.

For those of you in the US, Kirby Mass Attack comes out tomorrow! Unfortunately, Europe won't be getting it until the end of October.


For everyone, Star Fox 64 3D is out! I must say, it certainly looks beautiful. Compared to the facelift Ocarina of Time got, this is a tremendous upgrade. Nintendo has three videos on the eShop if you want to get a preview of what it looks like.
