Looking for screen heights on all of your monitors. Feel free to post exact resolutions, frequencies, color depths, graphics cards, etc.

Currently, I'm running 1152x864 @ 75Hz/32-bit on a 17" Dell Monitor using a 512MB GDDR2 HIS Radeon X1550 graphics card.

EDIT: I noticed I didn't take into account MULTIPLE MONITORS...just give the largest res you're running currently on either and/or specify in thread.

EDIT 2: SCREEN WIDTH !@)#(!*()*!()@*)!(*@!#()@* NOT @)#(*@()#* HEIGHT!

EDIT 3: Screen changed to 1280x1024 due to board pressure.

1280x960 @ 60Hz

Not too big and not too small.

I have fallen in love with widescreen monitors...:3

It really makes me wonder just how big a 21" monitor would be...

1280*1024 on a 17" monitor. Sadly that's the biggest resolution it was designed for.

I don't know why I put this here.
1360 x 769 @ 60Hz, "32-bit" color depth, 20 inch widescreen 16:10 ratio Samsung LCD HDTV, running on a Sapphire Radeon X550 PCI-e 256MB card.

Connected via DVI for maximum clarity.

1280x1024 75hz 32 bit from some (cheap) Nvidia card over an old cable to a 17" generic 5:4 LCD. I'm not using the new cable because it is crap.

Is there any reason why 1280 by 1024 is such a common resolution when it has a taller aspect-ratio than standard? Everything TV-resolution (like DVDs and animé) ends up with black bars at the top and bottom.

Also, turn up your refresh rate to the highest possible. It'll keep you from ruining your eyes. Yes, this applies to LCDs. (Although 240hz might be a bit overkill...)

Huh? Why?
Edit: Also, it's hard to keep the monitor the same size/ratio, I had to widen/heighten the screen a bit when I increased it from 60Hz to 75Hz.

Eh, I can't see any difference between 60hz and 75hz on an LCD. On a CRT, though, it's obvious: 75 is comfortable while 60 is AGH IT BURNS.

HH, if you don't see any difference it's probably because your LCD is better than mine.

My laptop (LCD) is set to 1440 x 900 and can go higher, but it's big enough as it is. I'm perfectly satisfied with having my home comp on 1024 x 768, though.

The only problem is, though, it's rather terrible at displaying the full range of colors. I'm not supposed to be able to count the shades in full-screen black-to-white gradient. D:

Not to mention anything above F7 looks like pure white.

1440x900, although why you have "####x*" when you wanted the height is beyond me...
