My girlfriend couldn't get on a site, so I went over and checked it (we are both on that site anyway), and found it had a 503 error. This isn't odd for the site. The odd part is what happened after.

I figured while I was on I could check my other sites.

Couldn't get on Facebook, Yahoo, ESPN, Youtube, Eddsworld, or any other site.

The only one I could get on was this one.

I'm not sure what's going on.

The DNS server died. You have to reset your connection or discover some better DNS servers.

I would love to look at that link... too bad the DNS server is currently dead =/ guess I'm resetting the connection.

You should click that link while you have a working DNS server.

Odds are it'll happen again. ISPs with bad DNS servers like to continually have that problem.

Way back when I was on dialup, there was a period of time where my ISP refused to let me connect to several of my favorite sites. Called and complained about it several times, no dice. This went on long enough (at least a couple of weeks) that I actually switched to NetZero just to view those sites.
