So primarily with this thread I'm saying hi and how I found this place.

Cool. Basically I found this place from searching "ROTTEL-DA-GOURMET-RACE (PAAAAAANNN!!! mix)" and found a simfile discussion thread. That was interesting to read. The design is interesting and from what I gather this board is individually coded, which is another cool thing. To sum it up, I get a good feeling from here, like I did from the oldish (early 2000s) starmen.net forums. It's something I've been missing for a really long time so I decided to register and post.

Hope that isn't too inconvenient for you.

ps:
Looks like there is some kind of interesting RPG system here too. I've never been too interested in stuff like that for forums, but I'd give it a go in a chill community. B)

Acmlm board has been around a long time but this one of it's most popular successors. Milly was the original creator for ROM hacking and it spread to all types of gaming and moding/creating games. Hope you enjoy yourself. Have fun posting!

Hi! This board is the "offshoot" closest to the original Acmlm Board (which doesn't exist anymore), and probably the only one still using the original codebase with just some modifications. The RPG system on here is barely functional and mostly just fun stuff that's irrelevant most of the time. Another thing you might find unique is post layouts, though! I think you can still only see them when logged in?

So, yeah, welcome to Jul, a forum!

Thanks for the welcome, it's interesting to see a short site history. I used to really dig rom hacking and stuff.

And yeah I am pretty interested in the post layouts. I couldn't see them before but when I signed up I checked out the control panel and there were a lot of unique things I've never seen on any other forum before. The mood avatar looks fun too. I'll have to play with that sometime. I look forward to sticking around this place.

anyway, it's nice to be able to have this name. It's not based on -that- singing sensation, but another (although fakey fake) singing sensation that you might/probably know and have about a 50/50 chance of loving or hating: http://hime.uboachan.net/im/hirasawayui.jpg

I look a little similar to her, and I think she's adorable, so I tend to copy her style(?) a lot. she's probably what will be going on my reaction images here. although I'd like to see if I can get images done in a SFC style.

It's so weird! I've never been to a place that is so full of nostalgia of so many types. I see so many things that remind me of all the different games I used to play (and did I mention I love the dark/ambient theme?). It's so hard to post for me since I'm often busy (the past few nights, I fell off of a car and became a temporary vagabond with my ex) and there are so many things to jump into at once.

I've connected to the IRC, but I'm not sure what channels there are. I thought there was #girltalk... but it's not there? Does anyone want to help me there?
