Well...I'm still working on my second Yoshi's Island hack, SMW2+2. So far, I think it's coming along quite nicely, and I'm even more satisfied than I was with my first YI hack. But you can also be the judge of that, as I've included the latest demo for your pleasure.
Currently, I am working on 4-3, so I'm moving along. Unfortunately, I don't think this will be finished by the end of the year considering I now have a full-time job, but I'm shooting for a release in February or March of 2008. Here are some old and new screens...
1-1: How'd You Like Your Egg?
1-2: Ready, Aim, Fire!
1-3: Springtime Loveliness
1-4: Bryce The Boo's Fort
1-5: The Cave Of Tap-Taps
1-6: Yoshi And Friends
2-1: Welcome To The Jungle
2-3: Spit It Out!
2-5: Under The Sea
3-3: The Cave Of Koopas
3-4: Timmy The Tap-Tap's Fort
3-5: Brrrr! It's So Cold!
3-8: Anna The Piranha's Castle
4-1: Up In The Mountains
4-2: Mushroom Valley
And on to the demo. This was the last demo I released, which was the World 2 demo. Therefore, it contains 1-1 through 3-1 (yes 3-1, that's an added bonus  ). Plus, the Extra levels are done as well, so you can enjoy those.

Yup, and please remember, patch it to version 1.0 (U) of the Yoshi's Island ROM. Other versions will not work. If it doesn't work even with the right version, try downloading it from another site. Typically when I make YI hack release threads, the first 5-6 replies are "I can't get it to work...", so I'm hoping to avoid it this time. If you still have trouble, feel free to PM me and I can help in any way I can.

I think I tried hacking YI for fun once and it totally sucked. You on the other hand, are great at hacking YI. I'm almost jealous.
The levels look great from what I'm seeing. I remember enjoying SMW2+ very much and from what I can remember of this demo (only played the demo 1) I enjoyed this one more. Keep going strong. If you ever need a beta-tester, I can be available. I may not know how to hack YI or what goes on in it but I know how to test the best part, the gameplay.

| Looks good, and from what you have said before, it certainly looks like you have fixed the difficulty problems. Those beginning levels look just like they are supposed to, easy and ready to turn to difficult thinking challenges a few worlds later |

Yes...this hack will have a better balance of difficulty, definitely. Albeit, still a bigger challenge than the original, but nothing too crazy  .

Another one? Sweet. I loved the first one. Let's see here...the screenshots look really good, but I swear to god I've heard "Bryce the Boo" before. Oh well. I like it, way to keep hacking ^^

This is still the hack I've been working on since February, it isn't all that new. Didn't you test the first world, IIRC? That could be why Bryce the Boo sounds familiar . |

Ooh, this looks nice.
I believe I played the first demo of this, which ended at 2-1 if I recall correctly (I could be wrong), but it was a lotta fun.
From the screens, it looks like you made good use of everything YI has to offer, and it looks pretty damn interesting. I especially like the look of World 3!
I'll try out the World 2 demo now. Keep it up, this is gonna be one hell of a hack  |

Hmm...first demo had 1-1 through Extra 1. Second demo had 1-1 through 3-1, which is the latest one, and the one I posted here.

Wow, you are blazing through this game Golden Yoshi! I knew you were good at rom hacking but wow.
As for the shot, nothing special, yet it's good. It looks like YI.

It's sometimes hard to take the perfect screen. You really got to time it right. Anyway, I just started this level but it was due time for another update . Don't worry, there will be plenty more excitement in these levels than the screens will portray . Muah-hah-hah-hah-hah . |

Yup, S.N.N., custom Yoshi colors thanks to Mattrizzle! Although you did already guess that on the 29th.
