I'm almost shocked there isn't a thread on this already.

Arcade only, but fun enough that even though I'm not really into rhythm games I still find my way down to the local arcade at least once a week to play it for a few hours.

It's touchscreen-based, but it's not really like Ouendan.

But it's awesome.

Playing Technika 2, I'm mostly playing on the level of mid-high 7s and low 8s in difficulty. Just started to be able to beat Space of Soul NM consistently, which is cool, because that song is amazing. (Link is someone much better than me perfecting the song)

Anyone else played this subseries?

Technika is a load of fun, although finding places that actually have it -- especially with Platinum Club enabled -- is a pain and a half. The local arcade that used to have it has sort of vanished into the aether, and now the closest locations are at least an hour away.

That said, Blythe is the most fun song ever put into a rhythm game. At least on Normal. D:

This looks really fun, but I just can't shake the feeling that my hands would block my view of the screen too much.

Also all the arcades near me died years ago

I mean this is what I've idly been doing with my hands on tables and desks for my whole life, it's pretty funny that I never thought of making a game about it.

You can actually replicate the DJMax style of gameplay in osu! which is really cool.

That's cool, but... It doesn't really work in practice, since Osu has no practical way of taking simultaneous input, and Technika songs can require up to three spaces being pressed at once, or at least in rapid succession on totally different parts of the screen. So it's hardly an ideal sim, unfortunately! Too bad

Edit: And I'm not sure how it handles repeat notes.

I did it :3

Went by the arcade today to play Techika 2. After much effort, I finally beat Ask to Wind (바람에게 부탁해) ~Live Version~ on HD.

It's the most fun song in the game for me, and I it's the second-fastest song in the game, after d2 hd/mx.

I feel so cool
