Alright, you know what pisses me off? When young people (<15) brag about their skill in a certain thing (usually video game) while using their age (ha ha I'm only 13 and I'm really good at this) as a bragging point.

No. Fuck you. Your age is irrelevant. What is relevant is the amount of time and effort you've put in to it.

Next time I see someone doing that, I'm going to crush their undescended testicles. >:[

True.

Or people saying "look at him he's only x years old and he can do that" when the person isn't doing anything amazing (however, I'd say it's fine when the kid is doing something amazing most people can't do, regardless of age)

I agree completely. Younger people need to stop putting their age into everything. Just wait a few years and then see how good they are

Good point, I think Age should only matter if it is outstanding, like programming a -good- game in C++ at the age of 5 or something.

A serious thread? In MY buttery waffles?

... I agree with Kles's point, though.

They figure that it amounts to IQ, essentially.

Fuck em. They can't beat me in KI, for the most part, with my 12 years experience. Fuck, I've got more experience in gaming than they have in age. :\

This really isn't serious... I thought it was too random and outlandish to be in GD.

Maybe. Only if it's a really mentally intensive thing (to use an example, I think Treeki is incredibly smart; but chances are that anyone who is really intellectually gifted could be doing what he's doing now if they just started to learn when he did, so it's not really a matter of age there). Twitch skill like music games? Yeah, your age stops mattering when you're old enough to hit all the buttons without excessive stretching. Shut up and stop bitching!
