Remember those times where pretty much every forum had his/her local mod, and you had forums with like three or four local mods?

Looking back, I miss those times.

I don't remember them here, but another board I frequent has 2 mods per forum.

Never been on the other end here, so I wouldn't know the difference.

Local mod function really does not have much of a use other then allowing someone who is more experienced with a subject to moderate that forum. But honestly, if you think someone is trust worthy enough to moderate one forum then why not all of them? :p

I agree with Karis, in most cases people who are trusted enough to be local moderators might as well be trusted to moderate every forum.

Some exceptions for things like Rom Hacking where some extra knowledge is needed to fully moderate.

And having a list of forums some mods should focus on is also helpful, so that no forum gets neglected. But they should have power over all of them.
