I don't get why people don't like this stuff.

As for this song in particular, it's just cool. I like how it starts almost like something from Ecco the Dolphin, then it goes into a broken tension like a Metroid boss.

Actually I guess Aurastys could be described as "Metroid meets Ecco the Dolphin and gets broken".

Raver's Fantasy by Manian ...

I really like this kind of music ... Tomorrow I'll be listening to music on my way to NYC~

I am listening to "Whiskey in the Jar" performed by "The Masterless Men" from their album "Bramble and the Rose".

I am finding that I am listening to a lot of local fare and general celtic/irish folk music lately, too.

The Velvet Underground – “Candy Says”

A song they wrote about a transgender woman, Candy Darling, who was part of Andy Warhol's little superstar set. I think it'd be really nice to be a famous artist like Warhol some day and create 15 minutes of superstardom in my best friends ever. It sounds like Warhol had his own little Warholian family, but in trying to become Warhol, you might just end up becoming another Damien Hirst and like hell we need two of those in the universe.

Anyway, this is a wonderful song and I like listening to it while forlornly looking out the window, out into the summer sky. Forlornly.

A lot of Star Wars has been playing on Pandora, probably because I liked one or two Star Wars songs recently.

Currently it is playing: Duel of the Fates, one of my favorite scores.

The Mountain Goats & Kaki King – “Black Pear Tree”

I'm really digging this EP collaboration of John Darnielle and Kaki King. It's pretty spiffy. This is my song. I think I need to get into this wonderful young guitarist.

Just listening through Real Estate's first album again. If I ever get the chance to buy things on vinyl, this is going to be one of the first LPs I grab.

I still need to get my turntable, though.

Virus by Verona ... I'm not sure why it's called that, it has no lyrics, it's just pure techno.

Next in line: 18 mne uzhe (something about being 18 years old, I think?) by Ruki Vverh. It's an awesome Russian party song.

My current favorite song, Goodbye to Spring by Josh Woodward.

I first saw it on a video about a very cute puppy ... so I may be biased.
