Dinner today was just white rice and a can of Progresso beef and barley soup. However, dessert was a yummy fruit cocktail (canned).

We had chicken fajitas for dinner. I love fajitas myself... (I realize that technically "fajita" as a dish may refer specifically to steak, but as an American I reserve the right to misuse foreign terms )

I had two fried eggs with rice, beans, and chicken today. I ran out of chicken now, so from now until I leave to Chicago, my meat will be eggs. Tomorrow I will most likely have 4 eggs.

Mmm... French Toast, it tastes tasted really good. A few sprinkles of powdered sugar can make any slice of french toast taste and look good.

Currently, I am eating rice with leftover dim sum along with Tieguanyin tea. It is one of my favorite kinds of tea. The flavor is sublime.

I realized I haven't had a chance to post any food pictures since I moved to my new place, which is a super-huge shame because I've been eating some really scrumptious meals lately. Breakfast remains my favorite time of the day but with a different set of supplies to work with I had to modify the way I make a lot of things I have for breakfast!

Unlike before when I had pans in a variety of sizes, the only pan I really have is a tiny 8" nonstick frying pan. The new apartment's stove heats with gas and not electricity which is a gigantic relief. The difference in power is pretty awesome and it's taking absolutely no time at all for me to be accustomed to it!

It turns out the sausages I use actually seem to fry even better here and the little pan I have totally does its job. I have to fry eggs one by one now (of course with canola oil still) but this way I can afford to give the love and care each one needs. Plus, taking eggs off the pan one by one is a much more trivial task than trying to take two off at the same time. Eggs these days are seasoned with only sea salt and sometimes ground pepper since anything else may ruin the wonderful taste of the egg.

The white rice is reheated rice from a restaurant. It's only in restaurants that I eat white rice at all anymore.

Overall, this was a pretty yummy breakfast! I'm quite fond of my new kitchen set-up. Many, many chefs of the world swear by gas stoves and for a really good reason, too. None of that electric crap.

The soundtrack to this breakfast was Ra Ra Riot's début album The Rhumb Line.

I normally get my breakfast burrito in the cafeteria but today they didn't get their truck full of supplies yet. No eggs So I had to settle for a bagel and a donut.

Breakfast today was different from what I had been having these past few weeks; I had OATMEAL. Maple and brown sugar oatmeal, to be exact.

I'm still working out the details of what dinner will be, but it will include lots and lots of eggs.

Apple and Cinnamon Oatmeal, boring granola bar, orange tea... not much.

Chinese food tonight.

That was at 5 PM and I'm only eating chips (Ruffles BBQ) now. Tells you how filling that was, hm?

I just finished some curry that I had cooked, with chicken, carrots, and potatoes. It was pretty delicious.

A tiny bit of applesauce, I truly do love applesauce, and I have so much left that I can't find what to do with all of it.

Tomorrow: EGGS, lots of them.

I had the absolutely yummy usual. I was supposed to cook for a friend today, too, but he hasn't shown up yet, so I don't know what's up with that. I guess he might just have to live with having one delicious meal fewer in his life.

The soundtrack today's breakfast is Radiohead's third LP, OK Computer.

Same as Sofi, but my usual (lately) is not the same as hers. I'm currently eating maple and brown sugar oatmeal (may I point out it's from trader joe's xP )

It's very good

I was just at Imperial Pizza in Brighton. They're a pizza place that's been in the area for about 40 years and they've been run by the very same Italian family the whole time. Their pizzas are really cheap and the famous pizza of theirs is done in a Sicilian style. It was perfectly yummy, the crust really thick and kinda crunchy. The best part was the cheese and the way it was melted in total awesomeness. I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

I went to a supermarket after and got some Edy's fruit bars. This is a huge supermarket and to my surprise they have lots of stuff I've never really seen before. Variations that I never knew existed on popular brand name food items. Lay's fucking kettle chips. Anyway, I picked up some açai blueberry-flavored fruit bars and got to try some once I got home.

The texture is fantastic. I like it when fruit bars have the sort of texture of the actual fruit. It makes the eating experience more "authentic". Either way, the flavor is pretty good too. I didn't get any of that supposed bitterness of açai everyone complains about probably because there's a lot of blueberry, too. Yummy stuff.

I'm making white rice and eggs to eat with my leftover beans. There's only a tiny bit left so I won't be eating the same thing tomorrow.

We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner... usually my mother makes the spaghetti sauce and the meatballs by hand, but sadly current issues have meant that we had to do with pre-made everything- still, it was very good.

That still sounds good, Imajin. I would like some pasta after all these days eating the same thing. Though it's now over as I'm out of beans and eggs.

I'm eating applesauce right now, it's just dessert.

So on Sunday we had this really good chicken breast for supper. It was so juicy and tender and I thought it was breaded, but nope... coated with cornmeal. So succulent.

Why am I mentioning this now? Because I had said leftover chicken today at work in sandwich form for supper. And it was just as delicious.
