Rules and signups for the next round.

Guess what? It's Mafia Time!

For this round, we're adding a temporary change of rules that allows the Mafia to find out what the person they are investigating is doing as well as their position, as defined by this post.

With that out of the way, let Mafia V: Round 7 begin!

It looks like things are off to a bittersweet start.

First of all, Ramon, a Mafia Member hasn't shown up, so I have to remove him from the game. Since I would have normally had a Mafia of 2 with 12 players, though, his position will not be given to somebody else.

Second of all, Sanky, the Doctor was caught in the Trapper's trap! In trying to predict the move of the Mafia, I suppose they forgot to predict the moves of each other.

Finally, the Mafia themselves did not attack anyone.

So the mafia investigated then?

Interesting.

I'll go traditional and vote No-Kill. Like last round, I don't see there being anything in the open.

But the doctor getting caught in the trappers trap didn't help things for the bystanders. Plus side is that the trapper can't kill much else =|

I'm disappointed. I was here hoping for a 3 mafia game, and one of the Mafiosi goes and does nothing. Oh well.

I'm interested in the fact the mafia investigated, but that's not enough solid evidence for a vote. So I'll go with a no-kill vote too.

I was unaware that the Night round had a time limit stapled onto it. Checked the rulepost as well, it only mentions times for the day rounds.

Once again refusing to vote the no vote but not voting a player either. Not like it matters, as 5/10 of the vote is no-kill as it stands.

I'm not sure that prior rounds really proved voting "no-kill" was a good idea... especially with the Doctor dead, definitive action could be useful.

But it looks like the choice has already been made.

Keep in mind, the Sheriff can neither be heard by the Insomniac or killed by the Trapper. As a result, though, he gets less accurate results when investigating.

Anyway, I think it's pretty clear that this will be a No-Kill round, so I'll just move things along.

For missing two days? There are two other Mafia Members, I don't see the problem with one being a little "away" for a while (I remember I checked in the day before this started, reading in the general Mafia thread that it would take "a little longer"). Great. (It worked last round too.)

If a member of the Mafia fails to show up to an important meeting, it is assumed that they have gone to the police and ratted on them. The mafia solves this issue by making sure that the rat "dissappears" indefinitely.

I agree with this. The Day and Night round time limits should be the same, I think.
