If you get rid of the "craziness" there's almost no reason for the forum to exist. There's DERP PONYYYS LAWL CHARGIN LAZERS IN UR BASE OVER 9000 and then there's actual clever crazy stuff, but that kind of thing doesn't show up here anymore. So basically you end up with a redundant general discussion forum, unless the quality of what is being posted in here can be brought up.

To the extent that I never bothered to read threads in here, merely marking the forum read when it had a new post. This seemed to start a few months ago, with those 30+ "I am/you are" threads. From what I could see, the regulars just let things get out of hand (seriously, I looked over the "I am/you are" threads, and almost all of them were started by regulars; I even started one, I'm ashamed to say now. It was intended as a parody of them, but it was another clone topic nevertheless), and the newcomers just followed suit, assuming that's what this forum was all about. And the regulars just kept it up from there... and so it went.
I don't really think deleting this forum is a good idea; a lot of people genuinely like it, and it *is* nice to have a place to be silly. However, emphasis is on *silly*. Much of what happened here in the last few months was literally just people regurgitating older posts and memes until long after they'd ceased to be the least bit funny, hence why this place was called the "Trash Can" for a while. Far, far too many threads here followed the exact same formula: Someone makes a random thread, with the only content being a goofy picture, a YouTube video, or a sentence fragment. Cue 10-20 responses, which are *also* goofy pictures, YouTube videos, or sentence fragments. Even for this forum, those seem low-quality.
