I got that too, but I am not very good at it...
I got Alpha Protocol, which I have to say, I am very impressed with.

My haul from the summer sale:
Star Wars Battlefront 2
Beat Hazard Ultra (already had the base game)
Tomb Raider: Underworld (pretty good so far, aside from the horrible glitches)
The Last Remnant (more fun than I've had with an RPG in a while. :approve
Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum (Haven't installed it yet, hoping to tonight.)
Fallout: New Vegas (It's Fallout, what else can I say?)
Super Laser Racer (Using up the leftover money I had)
Just Cause 2 DLC (see above)

Steam be having a few deals.

For Midweek Madness, Anomaly: Warzone Earth is on sale for $3.33. Also for Midweek Madness, Paradox Strategy Pack, a $192 value, is $45. I don't know anything about those games, but Anomaly: Warzone Earth is a reverse tower defense game, so it is worth it at that price. I am going to be picking it up.

Also, Red Orchestra 2 is having a preorder sale. The game isn't out until August 30th, but you can save 10% if you preorder, 20% if you own Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. There are two versions of this game: the standard edition (currently $35.99) and the Steam Digital Deluxe Edition (currently $44.99), which includes a few in-game unlocks, two TF2 hats (Russian helmet for the Heavy, German helmet for the Soldier, both will be Vintage if preordered), and two Killing Floor characters. You also get access to the beta if you preorder the Digital Deluxe Edition.

It is by Tripwire, who does Killing Floor, so you can be sure that buying this grants you future DLC to be coming out as well as balance issues and bug fixes. I am probably going to be picking this up for the hell of it.

I am holding off preordering Skyrim until later, in case they have a better deal than an ePeen hat.

I'm preordering solely based on how much I love the series. :3

Also goddamn Steam internal errors, I want to buy the Quakecon pack!
EDIT: Hah. 'Bout fucking time. And with that, my games list reaches over 200.

Midweek Madness on Steam involves two games.

Prototype, a sandbox game where you can just beat up anyone with skills and whatnot, is on sale for around 10 bucks. Totally worth it and completely fun.

Section 8 Prejudice just released 3 DLC, but for Midweek Madness you can pick up the game for 5 bucks and the DLC for 3 bucks total. The better deal, however, is the 4 pack, which includes the game and all the DLC for you and 3 people you gift it to for $15, the price of the base game. That's less than 4 bucks per copy with the DLC!

Bastion was also just released, and you can pick up the game for $15 as normal, but the soundtrack is half off probably for the first week, so you can pick up the game and soundtrack for $20 easily.

I really want to pick up Bastion, though I'll wait a bit and hope for a sale of it, since I can't really spend more money considering I don't have a job. :<

This weekend on Steam has two sales.

One is Borderlands, which is 75% off. GOTY is 7.50 and that is a STEAL so you should get that.

The second is Counter-Strike Complete for 7.50 as well to celebrate the new CS game. This has the original Counter-Strike alongside Source, Richochet, Condition Zero, and Day of Defeat as well as Deathmatch Classic. Total steal.

Weekend deals ahoy!

Need for Speed games are on sale for 50-75% off! Cheapest of the lost is Underground for 2.50, so that may be worth it at that price. Don't know anything specific about any of the games but at least none of them are the newest one coming out!

Second deal is Civ V for 12.50. It isn't as good as previous games from what I hear.

Bunch of fantastic Star Wars games on sale this weekend on Steam. I' am personally going to buy Battlefront 2 and Commando. These may be oldies, but if you've never had the pleasure, now's a great time to revisit the Star Wars universe.
