I don't blame her, I would sometimes forget about this forum for long periods of time ...

Yeah, I stopped going in the IRC channel for this forum, so now I have to rely on my own memory.

I didn't even know there was an IRC channel for this forum. But I'm much of an IRC noob, so.... Also, I visit the Latest Posts page a ton, so I never forget about this forum.

... I just realized, isn't this like, what happens when the player goes missing for long?

We are characters in an Animal Crossing-like game.

Anya is the player.

We don't really wonder where Anya is, we are programmed to do so. And then she'll just reset the clock to like a month earlier or something.

That's so profound. Once she resets the clock, it'll be like she posted in this topic before all these replies were made!

The thread is a lie!

It's all in our heads ... nothing but an illusion. Until Anya finds it and we all wake up.

Sigh. :T

One's a Richard Kelly cult film, the other's a Philip K. Dick novel.

It's not like you are supposed to know anyways. It's the point of obscure cult stuff.

Cult films are just movies that have a very devoted fanbase but otherwise has failed to achieve mainstream success, like Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut. They're not necessarily obscure! Just misunderstood. Sometimes, though, they get really popular and stop being cult movies, like Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction or Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange or David Fincher's Fight Club.

(I got Reinfors with this post by the way.)

And it will be like the replies never existed at all, as new replies are made instead...

They would continue to exist in a memory. A memory of the future that was, but never will be.

It would be comparable to waking up from a dream. A dream so real that it actually happened, but in a forgotten time.

Life would go on, but deep in the back of our collective subconsciousness, the petrified legacy of our redacted destinies would haunt us forever.

So like the time when I opened a cabinet, convinced that the q-tip box had been refilled, only to find it still empty.

This happened to me yesterday. Who's been playing with time travel?

The more important question- why would someone go back in time to steal your q-tips?

Because the only reason we even have q-tips is because we traveled to the future and stole them from our future generations. Now they want their q-tips back!

I think you misunderstand - the q-tips were not there to begin with, and my recollections were caused either by someone turning back time from a point where I had some q-tips to a point before I had those q-tips or moving world lines from one where I do have q-tips to one where I do not.

The q-tips not being refilled despite my memories otherwise is simply a side effect of too much time travel shenanigans. Anyone know where I could get a divergence meter?

I wonder if she's seen the thread yet, I just realized it was nearing death at the end of the first page.

Hopefully the thread won't die without she seeing it, that would be terrible

Is it just me, or has Anya been around less often in the main forum too?
