Played a lot of Fallout lately. The new DLC for New Vegas (Old World Blues) is absolutely sublime, not to mention hilarious.

Oh, this is also running Lion but there's not really any obvious way to tell.

"New" laptop.

It's like my old Gateway, just beefed up and sturdier and generally nicer. Considering I don't like HP, this came as an extreme shock. And I'm not using WindowBlinds anymore either, which is also a plus.

Fun fact: This is the EXACT same setup my custom-built machine had when I got it. Kept this wallpaper for approximately a year. Especially when it was still in the HS as part of the program...

I decided to take a darker turn with my newer background. I'm thinking of deviating from allegedly mood-enhancing nature/landscape wallpapers after this in favor of something more textural.

played around with rainmeter again, this time making a toolbar i had previously thought to be useless, well, now sexy

the weather skin only showed the current weather, though, so i did some tinkering around and got the current day and the next 2 days' highs
