With Zelda 2 beaten the only two zelda games which I have not beaten yet are: Phantom hourglass (Hahaha, not going to happen.) and spirit tracks (My save file got corrupted near the end, I have not been arsed to try again yet.)
Majora's mask is quite a fan favorite I'd say, though, not within the same type of fans that liked OoT. :p
I should give wind waker a spin again though, it was quite some time since I played it last.

Wind Waker was fantastic, except for the sailing. The warp points were far too limited, and the Triforce quest was one of the most annoying things I've done in a Zelda game, and I've beaten Phantom Hourglass.

I thought the sailing was a beautiful way to hearken back to the unabashed exploration of the first game.

Congrats for beating Zelda 2, this episode is the one that i like the less, beacause this is not a "real" zelda adventure, only 8 lifebars, no rupees, in 2D. but i like the game over screen tough.
I think sidescroller is the genre you're looking for.

And keep in mind, it's only the second game, so of course what a "real" Zelda adventure was was not so much set in stone.
