Not to mention, regardless of how insane cancelling this particular game like that is, I don't think any franchise could survive the cancellation of two mayor releases in a row with nothing else supporting it-- They just killed Megaman.

Wouldn't go that far, but my fear is that they'll end up coming out with a new Mega Man IP that... alienates fans of the series. Remember how Hudson tried to re-invent Bomberman? That worked well.

To be honest, I stopped following Mega Man after about X2. For me, the more it gets away from the Original series, the less of a drive I have to play it. However, I was still pretty pissed to learn that they now have an unfinished cliffhanger from Legends 2, which just removes any drive that I had to play the Legends series and try and catch up with Mega Man. I'm not going to play a series of games without an ending.

As much as I would love to see this happen, it would impede Capcom's ability to profit from endless rereleases and crappy remakes of the old games. Ain't happening.

I'm more pissed right now at the fact I have to pay ANOTHER $40 for UMvC3 now. At least SSF4 Arcade Edition was released on disc and as DLC.
