Enjoying yourself, Imajin?

I'm not. I still have a cold and my friend still has my umbrella.

I'd go out if I had my umbrella.

I am bumping the weather topic to say...

Apparently there's going to be a heatwave here on Thursday? I hadn't heard anything about it, but my boss said if I was worried about it being too hot I could just stay home that day.

What's "too hot" for you guys on the east coast? We routinely have 110+ degree weather here in Vegas during July and August.

110F is not that terrible if the humidity is like 5%. It's going to be 103F here, with the heat index probably at or above 110F.

It's going to stay in the 100s for 3 days, too...

Well, it's a fuzzy line (humidity and stuff), but really if it starts getting substantially over 90 then people start talking... it does occasionally pass 100 here, but not often and when it does happen people point it out.

Though, of course, I'm sure it's different if you go further down the coast- like, obviously Florida is going to have different standards.

Puerto Ricans complain if the temperature drops below ~75F.

It's 98% humidity here ... and hot. I have no AC so I feel terrible.

We have had the weirdest weather the last week and a half.
This morning it rained for a good 3 hours, and this afternoon it was 30+ C, not a cloud in the sky.

Opposite here: It was sunny and sweltering most of the day and then during the evening it started raining heavily. Now it's ultra sticky.

Today has been very humid and is going to be even warmer tomorrow too. The humidity in my area is going to be feeling around 106 to 110 degrees outside. Torture to my dad

Wow, it looks like it's going to be pretty fucking bad. I'm thinking of canceling my outdoor hanging out plans now.

We were lucky enough that when we were in Caguas we had AC units in each bed room. Just the window ones but they worked wonders.

We also lived in Aguas Buenas for a while and since it's way up the mountain the temperature was about 10 degrees cooler than down in the city.

I don't know how this will affect the humidity in here but I closed the windows. I read that during the summer all they do is bring in water vapor and hot air.

My room seemed to have been getting incredibly dusty too, let's see if most of that was coming from outside.

Anything above 20°C (68 °F) is warm enough to wear shorts and a t-shirt. Above 25°C (77 °F) is hot. If it gets above 30 °C (86 °F) its just to hot. I prefer the 20 - 25 °C range. 15 - 20 °C is also just fine. Today, the temperature has been around 14 - 15 °C.

However, since this place is usually quite windy, it rarely feels that warm.

Where I live its usually cloudy during the mornings but in the afternoons it gets hot.

Sometimes it gets windy so that's a relief.

Wow, that's a lot of ranges.

I'm okay with going down to even 60°F in shorts especially if it's sunny! If I feel too chilly, though, I'll wear tights or leggings under it. The 70s are pretty cool because I can wear patterned button-downs and cardigans and scarves and all that good stuff and not to mention wonderful things like full-length skinny jeans. I like 60s even more because that's when I can go nuts with layering things, which is always really fun, wearing stuff like this awesome green corduroy jacket I have that I've been waiting forever for it to get cold enough to wear! And let's not forget hoodies.

In the 80s and above, there's not really much I can do, though. Sundresses, sunhats, T-shirts, shorts, yeah sure, but that's about it. People who wear thick flannel clothing in this weather or cardigans or vests or jackets have my ultimate summertime respect.

Last Winter, the cold probably numbed me. After it dropped below 40F, I lost all ability to feel it getting worse. Even when it dropped to -1F (the coldest it got) I couldn't feel a difference.

Ideal temperature for me is anything between 50F and 70F.
