Go see this movie. As long as you enjoy action movies. Don't go expecting deep plot or character development, but it is a step up from the second movie in terms of plot.

The effects, cinematography, and music were simply amazing again. The locations and sheer size of the setting is incredible. Going to Egypt and destroying the pyramid was one thing. This climactic battle sequence is set in Chicago. As in the whole city!

Michael Bay may never produce a Best Picture worthy movie, but everything he's released recently definitely deserves the special effects prize. The detail of the Transformers interactions with their surroundings was spectacular. There's a scene where one of them is walking up a set of cement steps and you see the blocks crumble and fall away under their immense size.

I saw this in Digital 3D and the effect was stunning. This was actually filmed with 3D cameras and did not have any gimmecky after effects like other converted movies. There wasn't anything specifically popping out at you to increase the effect and look completely fake. The 3D was subtle for close ups and dialogue shots but yet noticeable. For wide angle action sequences the depth that the 3D effects brought was definitely worth the extra money. If you have the opportunity, go to a matinee and save $5 but you should absolutely see this in 3D if you can.

I want to go see it at least once more in 2D just to see the difference the 3D makes, and maybe again in 3D if I can convince my wife

I liked it. Thought it was the best out of the three.

The acting sucked. The tone of the movie was all over the place. Good story but it wasn't told right. The main chick, well, we know wasn't hired for her acting. And it was a tad longer than it should be. 3D was freaking awesome.

Here comes someone who has based her opinion solely on what others have said about it.

If it'll make you guys feel any better, I'll see if I can get around to watching this so-far trilogy. Expectations aren't high, though.

Paulguy's Post configuration
I found it a horribly stupid 3D tech demo, that went on far too long.

It doesn't even pass off terribly well as an action movie. If you want to see good stupid action movies, look at stuff from the 80s and 90s. This was just crap where only the final fight scene was entertaining to watch. They shouldn't try to make much of a story or anything where it drags along if they can't do it right, and instead make something relatively shorter (about 100 minutes) that's just a bunch of action, and little else.). Of course, if they could do it right, then do it right, but this was not right.

I think it was a great inclusion for the series, the only problem I had with it was how they kicked Megan Fox and made the story be that she dumped him, which I found absured. The whole plot line to the movie and everything confused me at points, but then gave me answers later, which is great for movies such as these. The action was also great, IMO. Especially the final fight
I overall found this movie to be perfect for the Transformers series, definitely worth the 3 hours (or 2 and a half hours).

Okay, so I watched it last night. A few thoughts.

- Okay, I love the Linkin Park song, but they just reused the same 30 seconds of piano over and over and OVER. It's called variety.

- OHMYGOD IT'S CHANG

- HOLYSHIT IT'S WASH

- The leading lady has gigantic lips.

- Ooh, Patrick Dempsey.

- Enough patriotism, Michael Bay?

Wash was one of my favorite characters in the movie. It took a little bit to get used to him with the accent but his comedic presence was the best in the movie.

I knew he was in the movie beforehand, but I wasn't expecting the accent, I nearly died. But yeah, I agree, probably one of the best characters.
