I had one for a while. Sold it when I got my iPhone 4. They were amazing when they came out, no other MP3/video player as easy to use or as small as they were. I watched the first Transformers movies dozens of times on it, as well as many other movies I put on it from time to time. Only had room for 2 at a time. It was the 16GB model and I had 11GB of music on it. Average movie size was around 2GB.

I still use a first-gen touch as my main music player... (I'd post from it, but there's no Wi-Fi I could connect to here) but that's pretty much all I use it for nowadays, admittedly.

Of course, my smartphone (a Palm Centro) is of similar vintage to the 1g touch... apparently I'm just stuck in 2007.

You can use a wet paper towel first to clean and then a dry one to finish. Its not going to hurt it.

You should use a microfiber cloth designed to wipe things like screens because paper towels have a texture that might scrape the screen.

Due to her screen having that reflective sheen I'm sure a paper towel wont hurt it too badly, due to its material. Even a normal towel would probably be better though. Like a small washcloth.

I would like an iPod Touch but I have no place to use it at or near work. I don't think you can get any wireless signals there actually, and the wireless network at work is obviously protected.
