I can't drink hot drinks in the summer. Otherwise my body temperature feels like it goes up 20 degrees and I sweat profusely.

Sup, Gabu. I might be going to Chicago sometime late August.

I happen to have relatives downtown who are planning a family reunion that my dad might attend and wants me to go to as well. If it does happen, I might be in Chicago for about 3-4 days.

I had a pretty nice evening. I had dinner with this wonderful 33-year-old gentleman who turns out to be a massive film buff! He has many opinions that conflict with mine much to my chagrin but I'm nevertheless impressed that he's seen such a massive array of films. I wish more people were that interested in cinema instead of just saying "movies aren't my thing".

So Jul, apparently Portuguese people naturally have a really high alcohol tolerance.
Guess which trait I inherited from my Portuguese side.
A beer, glass of wine, two coolers, and I feel fine, aside from a bit of a headrush standing up. My friend on the other hand had two glasses of wine and a cooler, and she can barely walk straight.

Well I guess it's going to be difficult to get a Portuguese person drunk and steal their wallet.

I'll go for all the lightweights then. Like your friend.

Oh but you don't want to piss off the lightweights, they're so much fun.
And they speak with arm movements. I was a couple inches away from being smacked in the face more than once.

That's because you guys are used to porto. I'm not.

Thing is, I didn't grow up on porto. I suppose it just flows through our veins.

I've avoided coffee since May. No idea why. It's impressive considering I'm averaging 6 hours of sleep a day, and I'm up at 4:20 5 days a week.

No coffee, sodas, energy drinks, alcohol, etc.. for me. All I drink is water, juice, and milk (and stuff like milkshakes and smoothies).

I'm pretty boring, yeah. I could also very easily become a vegetarian.

Juice is good at least.

Then again, I know people who can't stand water and need to add something (like Crystal Light) to it.

Water's the most refreshing thing there is on a hot day.

Milk gives me diarrhea, so I very rarely drink it. I drink fruit juices a lot.

I drink soda... lots and lots of soda. I know it's just supposed to make you more dehydrated, though...

I used to drink lots of po-- *notices Anya and Imajin glaring at her* --uh, soft drinks back in the day. Now I just drink it occasionally. And very rarely is it an American brand. I tend to prefer the imported Italian and French stuff at Safeway

I'll only drink pop if I'm out for lunch, and that's fairly rarely, once a week or so. Aside from that it's just water or milk.

Oh so you admit it!?

We had a fucking discussion about this when we were hanging out! I was telling him that soda makes you dehydrated and he was trying to show me that that's not true at all and Coca-Cola even puts a label on their products saying that they quench thirst!

Whatever. : J

I just said that the Coca-Cola company had made that claim- I didn't say it was accurate or anything. (Someone other than me must remember when they said this- it was on the box!)

But in any case, I admit nothing. I won't even admit that I admit nothing.
