Just got some mozzarella sticks from the cafeteria. They're ok. Nothing to write home about but they will suffice.

So what's the deal?

The deal is... um... try another brand of soup? :\ Campbell's must have 100+ varieties.

I'm not sure I like Campbell's, though, that's the problem. Everyone tells me Progresso is "some pretty gosh-darn good canned soup!" and I'm thinking "it sure is canned all right". Campbell's is famous, I mean, come on, Andy Warhol did a whole series on them! But they only seem to make condensed soup now and it's all been really mediocre to me.

Maybe there's some hidden gem of soup out there that no one's heard of that's the most awesome soup ever, kinda like how you might find some really neat lo-fi recording of a band from the '70s no one knows and it's just really really cool.

Either way I had the same brown rice-sunny side up eggs-sausages breakfast I've been having lately and guess what? Chives are still fucking amazing with sunny side up eggs! Seriously, chives are the most awesome spice ever. They go a little better with scrambled eggs but they're perfectly fine here. I'm so glad I actually have something that accents the flavor so well without blatantly interfering with the delicate flavor of the egg and also without being a totally wimpy flavor like parsley.

I'm sure chives can go awesome with pretty much any other egg dish, like soft-boiled eggs. Just cut the egg in half, let the yolk run all over a slice of toast or something and then sprinkle with black pepper, salt and chives. Yum. I bet chives can even save the absolutely dreadful shirred eggs but it's probably not really worth the effort.

Chives: can you say "egg's best friend"?

I didn't have a soundtrack for this breakfast but Elvis Costello is on my mind so I'll go with that. I love you Elvis (Costello).

Domino's large pizza with three to four toppings last night. Primarily a sausage, mushroom, and pepperoni one.

Hm, for lunch I had egg-salad, but we were out of bread, so I had it on a toasted hot dog bun instead- it actually worked out really well.

I had the usual with scrambled eggs this morning. Typical sublimity~

Guys I'm thinking when I have Imajin over sometime I'm going to cook him my famous breakfast, so you'll have someone who's not me giving an opinion on my food! Of course I'll make him post about it in this topic. It will be delicious/awesome. : J

Oh, the soundtrack to breakfast today was Fleet Foxes's eponymous first album.

Last night I discovered that I cannot handle the texture of buffalo wings when they are done 'properly.'

It's so slimy and it drips down my throat and ugh. Screw doing it properly, I want to be able to eat food.

Just had the worst spaghetti and meatballs I've ever tasted. Last time I get that from the cafeteria. Should have grabbed the pizza instead.

I had the worst sandwich ever tonight.

Smoked meat on rye. Sounds good, right? It would be except that this rye bread was... well... quite chock-full of rye. Overpowering to the point that I could hardly even taste the smoked meat. If you've never had smoked meat before, rest assured that it's generally quite tasty, especially with mustard. So you can imagine how strong the rye has to be to counter-act that.

Currently eating chips after having some cheese.

Right now I'm having a little cup of Luigi's Real Italian Ice which is amazingly perplexing since I'm not really sure what makes this ice more authentically Italian. Is it from of a vertically integrated factory in Italy composed of only Italian workers, much like AmericanApparel®? Is it made out of purely Italian materials assembled in Italy?

Authenticity aside, this fellow Luigi makes some formidable "real Italian ice". I'm having the watermelon flavor and even though I don't really like watermelon I think it's good enough for me to tolerate it. It's nice for a lazy summer day like this especially after almost choking on a piece of spaghetti.

I went out to a restaurant on Nantasket Beach (in Hull, which is a peninsula jutting into Boston Harbor), and had fried shrimp... I love shrimp, though I have to admit the cocktail sauce was not great so I just used ketchup instead.

Here I am, missing those Halal Street Carts in NYC... My goodness, I must move to NYC so I can eat that crap more often!

It seems I was in a Thai(-ish) mood tonight; dinner was rice with chicken and pineapple. For some reason, I still feel hungry... :/ I been eating more and more lately..

Baaasically a stick of pepperoni wrapped in bread dough, then sprinkled with cheddar cheese and baked. Deeelicious.

So, I went to the "pink berry", which is apparently a thing now, and tried their pomegranate frozen yogurt... I liked it a lot, actually, but I made the mistake of getting kiwi as a topping, and the two did not go together as much as I would have hoped.

The last thing I ate was some Munchies the Cheese version. It had Doritos, Cheetoes, Sun Chips, and Pretzels in there. Yummy.

Munchies is a good snack mix but I prefer the regular (i.e. not cheese) version myself.

Supper tonight was pâté chinois. (Yes, I'm using the French term on purpose - it's basically shepherd's pie. Yet Wikipedia still has something for it!)

I just finished having a few peaches before going to bed in a bit. Dinner today was ... cereal! I might make rice tomorrow ... maybe.

I'm currently missing my days in New York City. Peking duck is amaaaaaaaaazing~

That was Peking Duck in mantou with hoisin sauce. The restaurant was Hong Kong Wonton Garden in Manhattan's Chinatown.
