Hey there, and welcome to the board.

By and large, if your'e familiar with the game and the debug menu, and you realize "this isn't on the wiki," then your help is automatically needed. :x If you aren't sure on how to properly edit a page, you can always just do an infodump on a Notes: page or the game's Talk: page, and someone better-versed in Wiki magic will clean it up.

I'm feeling pretty incompetent. I can view the non-existent pages Talk: The World Ends With You and Notes: The World Ends With You, but I don't have the option of starting them. It seems I can't edit any pages.

Oh well.

First of all, you should log on. (I see you've already managed to register an account by yourself.) Once you've done that, go to any non-existing page and there will be a "create" option at the top. Use it.

I have the option to "watch" (and on existing pages I can "view source"), and that's it. Eh.

Others are still creating new pages, and I never made any, so I wonder if this is some sort of spambot protection gone wrong

The reason you can't edit is because you need to put in your e-mail address and authenticate it before you actually use the edit functions of the wiki.
