This. I mean, I guess it can be an interesting statistic, but I don't understand why does it mean -anything-.

In fact I'm often surprised at some post counts being lower or higher than I expect, deppending on how often I see them around.

I have like the 11th highest total on a board (I have about 6100 posts there)

I can tell you that post count does not always equal recognition.

I have gloated about post count in the past on that board, but it's only in fun. It gets people riled up, and sometimes they end up posting more just to put you in your place. Its a win win for me.
