IMO, he should be a boss INSIDE the dungeon... like a room and in the middle of it is a pedestal or something, once you click it the room locks and the boss spawns... now THAT would be epic. :p

Tried out hardcore mode. Didn't really like it. It really slows the pace of the game down and ... well, it ends up feeling like Minecraft when you lose everything at death and have to hike back to get it. It's pretty tedious and I gave up after losing my second full set of shadow armor to an accidental lava bath. Who wants to go all the way back to the underworld in one piece of copper and iron armor?

Here's a general gist of what 1.0.6 is bringing to the table so far:

* Quick options for fast chest / piggy bank usage (dumping entire inventories in or out at a time)
* In-game option to disable selecting items on the hotbar by clicking them
* Armor / Accessories can be R-clicked to equip them
* Background removal speed UP
* Damage variance of up to 15% away from normal
* Debuffs / ailments added (poison, fire, and the like)
* From the looks of it, Necro armor has lost its speed boost in exchange for increased ranged damage (set bonus saves ammo)
* Potions got a nerf. Healing Potion recovers 100HP. "Potion Sickness" prevents you from using a potion for a minute.

are you angry about your potions yet (they're at about 12.5% effectiveness now (implying nonstop potion drinking))

At this rate you may as well just carry a bunch of regen rings around and wear them almost exclusively for healing...

The upcoming potion nerf doesn't really bother me that much, if only because I've gone through most of my gametime just using minor healing potions. This just means they'll be harder to craft now.

I'm still waiting for a healing magic spell... but there are things I use magic for on my melee characters: orb of light and magic mirror.

And I honestly think the changes to rocket boots was a good one. You move around with them faster now and you can still use them even if you're a magic person.

I must say I really like some of the recent changes to the game, the worlds feel more alive now with a bit more content, they where quite plain before. Early game is a lot more enjoyable as well, mainly since you can find spears and potions to help you along the way. (God damn is the spear good!)

Even though I enjoy caster characters, it feels like magic is very underpowered though. It costs mana and you can't cast how much as you want, you'd think that would offset a high damage, but many of the other none magic weapons are just plain stronger, and that's not counting in the magic and that you can't cast how much you want! At least that's how I feel. :<

Oh and, mud change = terrible. It seemed like a good Idea at the time I guess, but digging in the jungle is freaking terrible now! I'm not really a huge fan of molten armours set change either. I thought the set bonus it had before was much better then what it gets now. :<
