Wisdom Teeth?

Ewww...

I hope mine never come in. Those will be painful and I don't have the money to pay for a dentist for a bit.

So, after a 50 minute college day, I'm off for 8 and a half weeks.

Ugh... I woke up this morning and felt awake and full of energy (which never happens), but now, just three hours later, I'm exhausted.

Dentists in general tend to set off my gag reflex a lot, especially when they're taking X-rays.

All the more to maintain your teeth so that you don't have to get any serious work done. =)

As a dentist, it is interesting to see chatter about how the public views the directions dentist give them.

I gag easily, which is why I hate getting my X-rays taken (the way where they put that dang red thing in your mouth... I don't mind the automatic rotating scan kind) and tongue depressors in general.

I'm not very fond of my orthodontist, not since he scratched a groove in my front tooth and uttered a quiet "oops".

I thought the automatic rotating one was pretty cool. It seemed so futuristic And yeah, things in my mouth can make me gag, especially if they're put near the back of my mouth.

Also, this is going to sound dumb, but I always wondered why it's orthodontist and not orthodentist.

When I was much younger, they used to put those sideways T-shaped plastic things into the very back of my mouth in the most awkward way possible (for X-rays). Between that and the metal hook they used to scrape my teeth (and the "you need to floss every single day wabble wabble"), the dentist became a total chore to go to.

Oh god, really? It hits my gag reflex, ugh. My dentist told me to rinse after everything I ate and/or drank, and every morning and night again. I just couldn't handle it!

I had to get used to it because a while back, I had random stomach pains that set off after 9pm if I lie down, I.E., to sleep. Yeah, pretty specific pains. My mum thought it had something to do with my liver, IIRC. So, liver salts in water it was. After a while, it wasn't so bad. Didn't do anything for the pain though...

Probably because it's composed of Greek roots and not a mixture of Greek and Latin? Mixing Green and Latin into one word is kinda ugly and it'll make linguists very mad.

I think I heard someone say that on television once.

Dentists? Never been to them.

I just use really powerful toothbrushes. My Wisdom teeth seemingly came in straight, anyway, and I have no obvious, visible cavities. So far, so good.

When I was young, I never went to the dentist and rarely brushed my teeth. When I finally went when I was 8, I had 8 cavities already

I'm surprised I didn't develop any cavities during this ~5-year hiatus, but I tend to brush my teeth a lot more now than I did as a kid. Plus, maybe baby teeth are more fragile?

I've never had a cavity. And I rarely brush my teeth, as well.

Though I've had four teeth pulled. Not fun.

I have horribly worn enamel from really bad acid reflux. Yeah, it's that bad. Problem is, my stomach doesn't like to keep shit down.

I have to hear about it every fucking time I go to the dentist. I hate going. e_e

Not to mention it's stupidly expensive.
