And this is why I never ate school lunch after I left middle school. I would either bring my own lunch, not eat, or leave to go somewhere.

Drag's Post #361
I always ate the school lunches. It was just easier than bringing my own. The bad thing is how the lunches usually sucked.

When I got to college (now), I ate at the cafeteria, and the food, by comparison, was so much better than the cafeterias at my old grade school system.

But then I started eating chic-fil-a and taco bell and stuff, and now I can't stand the cafeteria food.

Here they have good stuff (sammiches, burgers and fries, fountain pop, etc), but it's freaking expensive. I often buy a sammich and chocolate milk for breakfast because I take too long to get out of bed and don't have time to eat before leaving. I gotta stop doing that, it's expensive...

High school was the same way. Maybe I just got lucky. They didn't charge $2 a bottle at the vending machines though. (Of course if you're nearby you can just go to the cafeteria and fill a cup with just as much for $1.25, and it's colder too. Only downside is it's not a convenient reclosable bottle.)

I'd agree with you on this some of the time. Most of the stuff at our school is bad but the things that aren't MADE at the school are decent. The Spicy Chicken Sandwiches prove my point. Of course being you that who are you won't budge on your standing.

Also, you don't even eat the lunches so where's your argument stemming from?

Does "shit" mean the same in the UK as it does in Canada, then?

My school cafeteria has fairly good food although like most cafeterias it's over prices. MY school makes very good pizza although if you want to buy a slice of pizza and fries it's 4 dollars (considering that a place not to far from my house sells entire 8 slice pizzas for 4.99. The fries in our cafeteria are now baked (opposed from a month ago when they were fried). Unfortunately the fries now taste terrible and the old fries used to be one of my favourite things to have for lunch

At least you're not eating this stuff. Word of caution, NOT for the faint at heart. Just a fair warning.

About #3, the lutefisk, my parents always eat this on little Christmas Eve (23rd December.) I've never wanted to taste the stuff, it smells like crap, and looks like jell-o fish. It's sickening.

There's also the Norwegian dish of Smalahove, which I've had, and it's quite good... though I didn't eat the eye, ear, and tongue like you're supposed to.

Oh yeah, and whatever we could buy from the high school cafeteria tasted like shit, except for the waffles. Well, they only served baguettes and waffles anyway.

Though, the cafeteria here at university is pretty cool. They even serve dinner, though I've never had it.

The eggs have the consistency of cottage cheese. The most popular way to eat them is in a taco with guacamole, while being fucking insane.
ROFL.

I've always said if it tastes good and doesn't make me sick, I don't care what's in it. That being said, just knowing what's in it may well make me sick, so just because people enjoy it and it isn't poisonous doesn't mean I'm going to stick it in my mouth.

I've never eaten school lunch in my life. My mom packed me a lunch until around 7th grade, after which I just went without eating. Sure, I was hungry when I left school, but it's not like I was too weak to walk or anything, and I ate when I got home (and also before I left).

I doubt that.

Anyways, our school actually commissioned another company to do our cafeteria lunches, so the food there was actually... good.

I never eat school food, it's expensive, and usually crap. Honestly, my High School is sorta better than my middle school, in that it serves semi-decent pizza, but that's all they serve, you can't get anything other than pizza, at $2 a slice. Aside,

Best ad-campaign ever. XD
