| You know, we're making all this progress towards awesome things like anti-matter, the whole 'creating new life' thing, etc. And yet we can't seem to make any significant progress on anything relating to the environment, which could become a problem in the near future. | I think you're missing the problem of "scale". The environment is... how do I put this... FREAKING HUGE. There are so many variables that they can't even accurately predict things days in advance.
Or perhaps you're looking at the wrong professionals. Neither geneticists nor nuclear physicists have much they can do dealing with the environment. |
