Check this out: some old unemployed guy with arthritis robbed a bank for a dollar so he could get free health care in prison! Okay, like, if you ask me I think it's pretty awful that some guy has to do this to get the medical attention he needs. He seems like a pretty nice guy too. He should have just come to Massachusetts or something where we have free health care. This is seriously pretty sad.
Woo, privatized health care.
Are you similarly indignant about the state of our nation's health coverage?
Are you suffering from untreated arthritis too but can't afford it?
Have you ever robbed a bank so you could get free medical attention?
Or do you think only people with money deserve health services?
What are your thoughts? ____________________ — Sofi

Our country's falling apart, and the cracks are large.

| | Metal_Man88's Post | This plan seems rational enough, especially if the robber has cancer and no way to pay for it.
Better yet, we could lower the amount of prisons and use the freed up money to give it to people who DON'T BREAK THE LAW instead.

I think that's just horribly sad that someone has to rob a bank and go to prison just to receive the health care that they need. It really says a lot about health care here in the country. It's sad that this person has to stoop to getting himself arrested and going to such a horrible place just to get help with his conditions.
I mean really, isn't there something we can do here? Before I get even more blatantly cynical anyway.

We'd have to stop imprisoning people for smoking plants, first.
And get rid of companies that profit by getting citizens locked up. Once there's profit incentive for something, morality goes out the window for business. ____________________ |

| | Metal_Man88's Post | And we'd need different politicians, since most of the current ones are beholden to such systems.
